For those reading this thread and contemplating a day out at the New Den, it is possibly the safest away day going. You can go door to turnstile without coming within 30 feet of a Millwall fan. Just do it, you'll be absolutely fine. No doubt some of our young wannabes will get the train to Euston, spill loads of beer in a pub in Central London somewhere whilst making complete dicks of themselves, get the overland to South Bermondsey, walk down the "tunnel" straight to the away end before spending the whole 90 minutes making cut throats signs and shouting "Where were you Millwall?" you say it like there is something wrong with that!!! nahhh your spot on that these days Millwall is well known for being a family ground and welcoming to all, i have always fancied trying a proper pie and mash shop down there so might take that in I hope that's posted in irony because even in this day and age roaming around looking for pie and mash shops away from the safety of the met police and 'cowards walk' is not recommended

Can't people go to a football match, have a nice day out, chat with other fans and create a good atmosphere instead of acting like morons? you should try it one day

Anyone know the reasoning given? Im pretty sure we can guess, was planning an early start down myself, less time for people to get leathered and start fighting?

Anyone know the reasoning given? Im pretty sure we can guess, was planning an early start down myself, less time for people to get leathered and start fighting? Official website just says... STOKE CITY'S Championship fixture against Milwall at The Den on Saturday 27th April will now kick-off at the earlier time of 1.30pm. The decision to change the time of kick-off - originally scheduled as 3.00pm - has been made in agreement with all parties, including Stoke City, following a safety advisory group meeting.

Any idea how many Millwall usually allocated to the away team?

Ridiculous considering spurs v West Ham kick off early as well. Add to that Cardiff, Everton and forest all in London that day taking big followings what surely can go wrong.

Any idea how many Millwall usually allocated to the away team? Says 4,000 on the football ground guide but there's no way we'll be given the lower tier so it'll be 2,000-2,500.

Where's Diane Abbott when you need her with £300 quid a year coppers to sort this potential punchfest out?
