Only been to Camp Nou and Vicente Calderon (the old Atletico ground). In Barcelona I got a ticket for 10 euros off what looked like a group of ultras. The guy literally came in with me and showed me to my seat, half way up right behind the goal. It was an awful game though against Getafe. Ronaldinho, Henry and Bojan were the forward line, Xavi with a late winner. At Vicente Calderon it was an excellent 2-2 draw against Villarreal, a brace for Fernando Torres (he was amazing live) and Forlan (not so much). Argentinian midfielder Juan Pablo Sorin absolutely controlled the game. Absolutely pissed down but the atmosphere was fantastic and the locals brilliant, wanted to know all about Stoke City and paid for beers all night. Great days

Barcelona for me, goes back to the Cruyff era and Catalonia v Franco. Otherwise it’s got to be Athletico Bilbao, honourable mention for Seville, wonderful city.

Their old San Mames stadium is one I’d loved to have gone to mate For those who don’t know it it’s the one Bryan Robson scored in Spain 82 after around 10 seconds v France Proper old style English stadium Gutted I didn't get to the old stadium but off to Bilbao v Girona tomorrow night (touch wood for no flight delays into the city), 3 tickets for 50 Euros. Then Real Sociedad v Villareal on Friday night, a tad more expensive as the cheap seats were all sold out. Great new stadium and wonderful city. Enjoy.

On memory I thought the Ricoh was steep but not on that level. Found a bar before kick where a drink was scary cheap. Great place all round (Malaga not Cov)

I have a season ticket at Elche. Because I am some kind of sadist.
Also keen on Real Oviedo, a great city and history (almost went under, they called for near shareholders internationally including several Stokies). Asturias in general is a beautiful place!

Huge stadium on the outskirts I believe? Elche that is.

Asturias is amazing totally agree, been a few times. Stayed in Llanes last time. Basque Country also a grata place to visit. Amazing food and drink in the north.

Stadium looks a bit like a mini-Camp Nou from the outside... that or a Roman colosseum! Plenty of bars around the ground though, and a lot of foreign fans attending home games. Shame they're often dreadfully dull, though not having a terrible season right now.

Looking at that, I wonder if there were 70mph winds raging outside, that the pitch itself would be an oasis of calm, like it was in the eye of a storm? BM

Been to Real Madrid, Barca, Valencia, Seville, Real Sociedad and Real Majorca all to see La Liga games. All very different but great days/nights out.
Bernabeu is the best stadium i've been and the renovated one looks amazing. Valencia and Seville are great cities and the stadiums are good as well, especially the Mestalla.
Shout out for Benfica - went there when they won the league on the last day. Amazing atmosphere, bit like the Emirates in design but better and not full of Gooner ponces. Edison was in goal for them and set up one of the goals (one of 6) - long direct ball.
Site to behold - amazing when ground was full.

Bernabeu looks great on the inside but the concourses and staircases etc were still building sites when I went in December

Valencia. We did the tour last summer. Its a really old traditional club, steaped in history, a people's club. They're like the poor man of the Spanish big clubs, massive underachievers.
Plus Valencia is an absolute fantastic city

My current tally Valencia, RM, Barc, Ath Mad, Alicante, Real Betis, Sevilla, Granada & Cadiz. Alicante is Hercules Stayed in Alicante so had a walk over to it when we played our preseason friendly over there in July…..it’s a big stadium for a club that sadly has lost its way

Athletic Bilbao v Girona was absolutely brilliant. Great stadium, great atmosphere and passionate, partizan support. In terms of location it's probably similar to St James' Park, right on the edge of town and the place is absolutely buzzing 3 hours before kick off, and for a couple of hours afterwards. Can't recommend the city or the stadium highly enough.
Real Sociedad in comparison felt really flat, poor game for them losing at home to Villareal there was 30,000 there officially (seemed a lot less) in a stadium with a 40,000 capacity but the atmosphere was very muted. It was a fleeting visit in and out of the stadium so didn't get the before and after match experience of the city but of the two I'd go with Bilbao all day long.
Also did the Bilbao Museum and Stadium tour which was excellent, some can be a bit lame but it was excellent value for money.......

Valencia for me too. Also did the stadium tour which I thoroughly enjoyed. Beautiful city too. Always said that if I'm lucky enough to relocate to Spain I'd get a season ticket for the local team. The thought of watching football in the sun really appeals to me. Can I do it on a warm sunny night in Valencia? You Betcha!!

Moved to Gibraltar last Summer and tally so far is: . Olympic Stadium Barcelona (England game in 2008 v Andorra / ironically Barca are playing there currently) . Algeciras . Real Madrid . Linense
Managed get tickets through work for Atletico v inter in a few weeks, can honestly say the bernabau looks awful from the outside now but relatively decent in the ground itself (echo someone else's comment about the concourses being a building site still from when I went in November)
