I'm not going to defend it, that's disgraceful and I hope Jones bollocks him for it. Don't want that shite at Stoke, we've never had it before, never needed it before, just no. Well we've had a few...they all left or were moved on. If we're the only club that doesn't do it, we should still not have it. So...do we move Bauer on?

we spent most of the first half booing Ayling for a much worse effort at diving, or is that not the same for the precious little darlings in yorkshire ?

While the authorities show no desire whatsoever to stamp diving out, I can't see what we have to gain by imposing a ban on our own players diving. It's like voting for self-harm.
For all the talk of Pulis' fair play with regards to diving, it still did us no good whatsoever. Whelan spent 90% of his matches with us on tenterhooks because the ref had booked him for his first challenge, usually after a dive from the opposition player.
And how many bookings did our players pick up from the opposition rolling around where our players would just get up and get on with it? Admirable as that is, nay other fucker noticed but us. Refs certainly gave us no credit for it.
I hate the thought that it's just part of the game, and I'd applaud as loudly as anyone if the authorities genuinely try to stamp it out from all teams (including the top 6 though that may be too much to ask). But until they do, I just don't see the point in disadvantaging ourselves.

Anyone caught diving should be given a 10 game ban.
20 games if they do it again.
Then 40.keep doubling the ban.

Shaqiri was really bad for it too. Hopefully Jones gives him a bollocking because that's pathetic.

Bauer did 3 blatant dives in the first half of the Shrewsbury game right in front of me. Hopefully he'll win us a penalty when his sharpness comes back!

Pulis’ teams were just as bad for diving as most run of the mill clubs, Etherington’s dive in the FA Cup Quarter Final v West Ham (missed the pen mind) was absolutely appalling. Jones away at West Brom, Pennant at home to Aston Villa leading to the free kick that we scored the last minute winner of, Shawcross away at Crawley in the FA Cup....
