5th ODI and bloody hell...….113 all out after 28.1 overs - looks like they were on the beach today. We lost our last 5 wickets for 2 runs ! Windies currently 95-3 after 9 overs ! Gayle 19 ball half century - out for 77 off 27 balls ! It's "performances" like this that cast a huge question mark over our World Cup chances. We're just so inconsistent. Our inconsistency is incredibly consistent! Best maybe to draw a discreet veil over today's omnishambles. Other than, of course, noting a particularly spectacular collapsr: 5 wickets for, I think, 2 runs. That is some going!

I'm going to stick my neck out and say,England won't win the World Cup. My reasons are. 1,We are No.1 in the World. 2,We are Favourites. 3,We are at home. 1,2,and 3 will most likely put too much pressure on England.

First T20 underway and it's half time.
Windies 160-8.
Morgan fucked things up a little by under bowling Jordan: 2-16 off 3 including a superb caught and bowled.
Rashid was superb 1-15 off 4 overs conceding just one boundary and that was a misfield.
Probably a little below par, but England are missing some serious batsmen; Buttler, Stokes and Roy. That said, we've got plenty of power in the side. Could be an exciting finish.

Think it's England's best chance but could make a case for half the sides competing

Well done England - a comfortable chase in the end.
Nice to see Denly and Billings do well in the chase but disappointing they both got out at the end.
MoM has to be Rashid. His bowling was superb.

More to do with test cricket but Mark Ramprakash has been dropped (sacked) from the England backroom set-up as batting coach with the Ashes in mind. Not surprising really given some of the abysmal performances.
Nasser Hussein says "It might be a little concern that there have been two big changes [with Farbrace and Ramprakash leaving] - but an England fan will say maybe that's what we need in the batting department. "There are some good guys around, like Thorpe, like Paul Collingwood and Andy Flower in the set-up who could take over - but a different batting coach doesn't make England's top three look any better overnight."

Good recovery to reach 182-6 after being 32-4.
Terrific knock by Billings 87 from 47.
Down to the bowlers now !

Wicket ! Gayle gone for 5 ! 12-1 in 3rd over.
Edit - make that 13-2 Willey with both wickets.
Edit - can't keep up with this 14-4 after 4 overs ! 2 wickets in 2 balls for Jordan.
Sensational stuff !

Yes Wow - made the mistake of going out the room twice and missed three wickets. Some brilliant bowling, yes some poor batting but credit to England.

I missed this yesterday evening so caught it this morning - and was mighty impressed with England.
A fantastic recovery with the bat with Root and, particularly Billings, excelling. Neither, of course, would expect to be in a starting T20 11 so it's a good demonstration of depth in batting.
Then Jordan and Rashid showing what good players they are with the ball in this format.
I guess the big question Jordan is posing is should he also be in our ODI squad because he is a very handy low order batsman as well as an outstanding fielder. I'd like to see him get some time in the World Cup warm ups because our bowling, in that format, could do with strengthening.

I've just watched the Windies "innings" again - it's incredible just how abysmal they were. It's hard to believe just how terrible they were, and the collapse just kept on happening !
According to the BBC Sport website
"Only the Netherlands have scored fewer runs in a T20 international, making just 39 against Sri Lanka in the 2014 World T20. This was England's biggest margin of victory by runs in T20s and the fourth biggest of all time."

Windies 1-1, Hope out first ball ! A cold, wet night. What better way to spend the evening than watching some cricket from the Carribean. I hope the Windies post a decent score so we can see a good run chase later - assuming I stay awake!

So a very comfortable 8 wicket victory and a 3-0 series whitewash !
That's the end of the cricket unfortunately. Some good performances from Jordan, Billings, and Denly but the Windies were poor weren't they ?

Some good performances from Jordan, Billings, and Denly but the Windies were poor weren't they ? Very disappointing from the Windies - particularly the likes of Hope and Hetmeyer; particularly considering how well they batted in the tests series. Let's not forget Jason Holder scored a double hundred batting at 8! For England the last two T20s were a stroll in the park.
