It was a dreadful result , there is no getting away from that, but it was a scratch side, in reality no more than three of those players will play on Saturday, and hadn't played together before , lack of cohesion is to be expected.

I think that your ire should be pointed at the centre halves. The first goal is received by the scorer two yards to the right of the semi circle on the edge of the box - neither centre half within 10 yards of the ball- the 3rd goal has Williams wandering out to the Stoke left and the carthorse that is BMI manages to get back into our box ( after wandering around near the half way line marking space) just as they score- Bauer having been drawn into the middle to cover the space that Indi should have been in. I can’t believe that some people actually think that BMI is in any way a competent footballer. Why is Tymon further central than Bruno on the first goal? What reason is he there, to the point where eventually the only player attempting to press the scorer is Bruno? As for the third, care to tell me why Williams is out wide? If you or others want to have a go at Williams then look at the penalty, or are people too busy blaming Clucas for that? What on earth is Williams doing stepping up and gambling there? Given that BMI is the left footed centre half where had he (3rd goal) gone?He is tripe -end of! (My opinion only.) BMI is a subbuteo Centre Half-usually nowhere near the man he’s marking and never anywhere near the ball. Of our 3 centre halves if you go back to the start of our relegation season we concede more goals per game ( over 1.8) when Martins Indi plays than either Shawcross or Williams, although Williams has only played in the Championship). Draw your own conclusions.

That challenge from clucas for the pen is absolutely Sunday league standard! In fact that’s harsh on Sunday league players! That should warrant a spell on the sidelines alone. What was noticeable in them highlights was how quickly it looked like Adam moved the ball forward He was brilliant last night if you didn’t get to go

He plays with no width. Nether full back has any cover. It's a shit system. It's not a shit system if you have good fullbacks - but we don't and I'm sure that'll be addressed. buying 2 is no good though we need at least 3

We now have to make that decision on whether to give him a run of games to get match fit? Personally I would as he gives us something that we haven’t got in midfield.

It was like he was Glen Whelan in that DM role. Some of his passes were spot on. Woods doesn’t have the same range or accuracy and passes backwards far too often so yes I would. I know it’s not a long term solution. They didn’t press him that much so query whether he’d be as good in a quicker high press side but I think he deserves it and I think we need those type of quality forward passes

You’re better than this mate, stop being such a wankstain and sort yourself out. You sound like a spoilt kid. The CM’s are supposed to drop in when the full backs go forward. I'm pointing out holes in his system. Is that not allowed? I’m going to take the guidance of NJ over anyone on the Oatcake, for now at least. Some abominable performances from certain individuals last night, for which the manager cannot legislate. Does his system suit our players is a completely different question.

lack of cohesion is to be expected. Not knocking the guy it was what it was, but you have a point here, with such a dramatic shift in playing style you'd figure he would try it with the actual proper team we all know we need a new team, and I back NJ to BUILD that team, not tinker and play about like Hughes Give it time, we have 18 months

Whatever system NJ adopts is going to take time for the lads to get to grip with....some of them longer than others.. In the meantime he needs to take’em right back to getting basic stuff right ...like the defence actually marking their player, that involves sticking with’em ...keeping an eye on them, making sure They haven’t snuck off whilst you were thinking about the next car you might buy.....concentrate on being goal side of them, so you may intercept any crosses intended for them. Stay close enough to put your player under pressure immediately if they get the ball....do not leave’em in acres of space with all the time in the world to have a shot ..and.try not give penalties away.
