Let's not forget that we made Millwall look like World beaters at the weekend
The way we set up (not to lose against shit like them and Ipswich) the lack of intensity, the predictability of it, the way manage games (throwing on Crouch and Afobe who then play in the same space) the fact that we can't take a decent set piece (or defend one), the fact that when we have them we don't even seem to know who should be taking them - you can go on and on.
There is no way we are going up this season or will be anywhere near the play offs - we have more coaches than Bassetts yet we seem static, clueless and inept from one week to the next. I am (was) desperate to see Rowett succeed but it's not going to happen and the sooner we face up to this and make the necessary change the better for us all.

We have hardly played any really good games this season, but the season is far from over. A play-off spot is still up for grabs, but we move the ball way too slowly forward. As a result the oppositition is always in fine defensive balance, and very hard to break down. We must stop this strategy where it seems most important to get as many passes between our four defenders and Woods. I guess 75%+ of our possession is between these five. It is always difficult to break down a defense in balance, even Man City struggle to do this in many games! I'm not saying we should go long all the time, but we certainly need to mix it up a lot more. Right now we look very predictable and you almost feel it's incidential when we score a goal, as in the Millwall game as an example. Another big problem is our fullbacks who don't seem able to defend nor put in a decent cross. Pieters is the best defender of these, but I even question if he is good enough. To me he makes too many wrong decisions that ofte lead to goals for the opponent. Indi in fact looks better there in many parts of the game, but hasn't got the pace to play as a fullback. Edwards to me seems way too slow as well, and Martina really isn't good at anything. We also need to replace McClean, he shows a lot of commitment, but he is predictable and unfortunately hasn't got the needed skills on the ball. I still think we can reach the play-offs, but we soon have to show some decent football as most of our last games have been a nightmare to watch. When we win I can accept that, but to play that kind of football and lose is almost unbearable!

You are pissing in the wind mate. No way will Mr 'I don't see what all the fuss is about' sack this bloke. In fact the more I see people suggest it, the more I believe that those up top are happy with piss boring mid table championship football because it's a lot easier and cheaper. I await them to prove me wrong in the transfer window, which is a bit too late. Fucking pedestrian moribund arse gravy. I preferred Pulis's binary season. H I would probably have been a little more eloquent ( :D ) in my choice of words but the sentiments would be exactly the same. I’ve already said to mates and posted on here that I’m undecided whether or not there is more of an appetite from those in charge for a Championship side than one in the EPL. It’s just a nagging feeling that I have. Time will tell as actions speak louder than words, hopefully I’m wrong. I'm amazed you can spell eloquent never mind suggesting you could ever be such. H :)

I have no doubt those in charge have more of an appetite for the PL the issue is whether they have the wherewithal to get back there.

If he did manage to sneak us in to the playoffs to be dumped out in the same manner as Derby last year I suspect they would be burning effigies of him all over Stoke. So would I. I'd like to think he has learned from experience No sign of him learning anything so far this season. Were as stiff as an old jamrag going forward.

I completely get that it's really easy to be down on Stoke at the minute.
But it's still only December and we aren't far off the playoffs. Have a bit of faith lads.

Unnecessary abuse in my humble opinion , intentions are never to be doubted , investment while not enough at the critical moments in hughes and lamberts tenure was still material , it’s in the executive management scholes and his empire , and team management that the root cause of our demise lies Yes, just the frustration of 2 yrs of decline spilling over That’s fair enough and your brave enough to admit it , we’ve all done it so top man and let’s hope we see some action now

If you feel that strongly about it and things are that bad then use all your negative energy & organise your protest like someone else is suggesting on another thread. See how many take part

We haven’t gained any ground on those above us for some period of time/games. Unbeaten runs means nothing if the majority are draws Slowly, we have been making ground. We're two wins from the top 6. We have two seasons to go up before FFP bite us in the arse and some people want us to give up, whilst 5 points off and still in December. I know emotions are running but come on. This season has many more twists and turns, not one team in this league worries me. One team in these league terrifies me. And its managed by GGR.

We're also further away from a promotion place than we've ever been. People just don't get it do they? WE HAVE TO WIN GAMES. Rowett is a fraud, a chancer and when it comes to the crunch, a colossal bottler. Get him gone.
