He'll bring in McClean for Berahino and that will be that.....
He'll also wonder why we have nothing from the middle in creativity or skill as they'll be stopping Allen and Clucas with the ball trying to dribble instead of offering runs and Villa will look to counter by pressing us wide, taking possession and thus making it look more even to the eye than it most likely was. He'll then be asked about Bojan not being included, Bera out wide and why always Fletcher or McClean after a draw. We've seen this all season, it is bafflingly predictable it's nauseating, two different sets of fans have told me they know what exactly what we are going to do each match in two different points of this season, its scary. No matter the defense or forwards selected, we can't break teams down, we can't hold possession and we can't get a win versus teams who can actually play football. We get scrappy draws and terrible football is all.
I’m liking the pessimism of our own support and the rampant arrogance (not unusual) of theirs with regard this game - Sod’s law says we might get something out of it!
No rampant arrogance here mate, but I agree people are writing Stoke off far too easily, do they never learn!
Fair enough - message boards are littered with predictions of 3 or 4 goal wins though (admittedly I’ve a mate up here in the N.West who is a lifelong Villa fan and he is still suitably nervous about any game 🙂)
