The atmosphere was ok but the turnout was shocking. The Premier plastics really have well and truly deserted us now This is my 50th season, yes I was at Springfield Park, Blyth Spartans etc etc! Although I am a season ticket holder of many years standing I was not there last night and for that I am truly sorry! My good lady has recently had major surgery and due to me doing a mega early shift at work was not able to get downstairs until 11 am, had I gone to the game she would have to have returned upstairs at 5 o'clock! My son also did not attend as his 4 year old son (my grandson) both also season ticket holders had surgery yesterday! Does this make us "Premier Plastics"? Must remember to ask you for permission next time that we have issues! Bloody hell heâs clearly on about people who couldnât be arsed to go with no valid reason other than âItâs cold and weâre a bit shitâ not those with genuine reasons such as yourself. Hope your family members are better soon....

Mythbusting. I know this is on topic but slightly off topic at the same time but i felt like writing it because it's annoyed me for a while. There is a tendency for people who are disgruntled at people who are disgruntled at their football club to call those who have lost their gruntle "Johnny Come Latelys" - As if the only people who moan about what's happening at their football club are young know-nothings who have only followed the club for a very short period of time. I'd go so far as to say that stating the above and referring to all the people moaning as "Johnny Come Latelys" is more likely to label you as a JCL as you clearly don't understand how following sport actually works. You also haven't had your eyes and ears open over the years to realise you're talking bollocks. People have moaned about the club for as long as anyone was alive ever. When we were in the third tier people complained and people also complained when we were in the top flight. It's what people do regardless of how long they've supported the club. It's nonsensical to brand people who are fed up with what they're seeing at the club as all being Johhny Come Latelys, or GHB's! Dyslexic punk band. That's me in the street with a violin under my chin, playing with a grin, singin' GHB! That's Glory Hunting Bastards apparently, what a strange glory all these folk have seemingly been hunting, i doubt they caught it. In 2008 we played Scunthorpe at home on a Friday night and the attendance was over 20,000 for the first time that season. I think it was BOGOF! I'd say around that time period and before it we were around 14,000-20,000 generally dependent on the wind. Scunthorpe were 2 nil up after about 25 minutes. I met Paterson in a casino once, i also met Vera from Coronation Street once, only not in a casino. On about 40 minutes the two elderly gentlemen in front of me had to get up twice in a short space of time to allow people to go past and go down the steps to the concourse. As they sat down for the second time they said "Look at all this lot! *pointed fingers around ground at people walking down the steps* Bloody Johnny Come Latelys!" This has stayed with me because i found it funny and mind-boggling. If logic's first we're coming second. Some people at football matches have a routine of leaving their seat before half time to go for a tinkle or get a drink or whatever. But because the attendance was "high" these 2 fellas lumped every single person leaving their seat before half time into a pile of johnny come latelys. ALL of whom had probably never been to Stoke before.... EVER! They only came because it was on offer, impulse buy, it was near the register. So my advice is, don't be idiots like you get on phone-ins who firstly have to mention how long they've supported the team they support, as if this could add more or any validation to the point they're about to make. "I'm Geoff, i'm a Villa fan, i've supported Villa for 70 years and i'm only 45" In my experience the people who persistently grouse the most are actually those who are of a certain vintage who have been going to the games for many years. You know what, they may also be the same people who choose not to go now and then because they're not up for it and angry at the club. Maybe it's not the JCL's who do 'no shows'? Perhaps it's the people who were there in 1920 when we beat The Wednesday by 3 sore bottoms to 1!
To sum up, the thread in which you are posting has no effects applied to it.
Well I preferred Stoke when no-one had heard of them! I saw their first gig, you lot can fuck off.

Maybe some of us were at work.đ but people have been saying they couldnât be arsed go, obviously if you had personal plans then yeah thatâs fine but whatâs not fine is when people canât be arsed to go when we loose but want go when weâre playing well either go every game you can make or fuck off đđ Given that the Boothen was only two thirds full, I guess quite a few of our âhard coreâ fans must be GHBâs then?

I thought it took everyone a while to get going team and fans but once they did the support was great , I certainly don't think Sky showing all the midweek games helps crowds either . but Stoke people seem to always find excuses not to do things more than most ( how many times do you hear people say " conner be arsed" ? ) , must be in our DNA so it was a disappointing turn out but its always been the same really unless we are doing well .
It is for most clubs apart from a few , to be fair Derby fans have stuck with their team well in the championship if we end up having a bad season we will lose another 3 or 4 thousand next summer I'm sure .
I'm getting on a bit now but still think if they can rip the seats out of the Boothen and put safe standing in it will improve the atmosphere up there.

I know it's a bit cold then. We head to LA and straight to San Francisco for 4 days then of to Vegas for 2 or 3 days. Probably won't have time for monument valley but certainly hope to get a sense of Vegas plus the grand canyon and Hoover dam. Will probably drive from SF TO LV then into LA. From there it's east to New Orleans Chicago and New York. Any tips for things not to miss in Vegas?

It's subterranium . Because it's so fucking hot here late spring to late autumn a greenhouse sunk 8-10 feet into the ground has a constant ambient temperature and you can grow all sorts or stuff. it's 100ftx40ft
Oh and as for weed it's legal here and there is a dope farm half a mile from my house and two brothels a mile away . nearest casino is 6 miles :-)
Sorted
