The French do like to protest don't they be it farmers, fishermen, lorry drivers, air traffic controllers or whoever so I can't see them suddenly backing off because of this.
My French friends in Clermont-Ferrand seem to think the gilets jaunes have really got the bit between their teeth now and their first aim is to oust Macron, but with a growing Frexit movement in the wings.
They don't think it's going to stop anytime soon.

Here is a link to an English language French newspaper that I subscribe to showing the protests are much more widely spread than UK media would have us believe. It also mentions the anti EU aspect.Le Connexion - Link

To the tune of 'Go West': ♫ ♫ Vous êtes de la merde, et vous savez que vous êtes Vous êtes de la merde, et vous savez que vous êtes Vous êtes de la merde, et vous savez que vous êtes Vous êtes de la merde, et vous savez que vous êtes ♫ ♫

I just have murph - they were impressed and thought it was great They're getting more and more pee'd off with Macron, and this latest "twinning" with Germany hasn't been received well in France at all. Macron's about as popular as Rowett was ! It's also given even more impetus to the Frexit movement, and apparently they're keeping a close eye on what's happening over here with Brexit as how not to do it. They said there would be riots in France if their MP's tried to obstruct the Leave vote in the way the shysters in the House of Conmen are doing.

Because it doesn't fit with the pro EU narrative that we're being force fed every day. I saw the BBC 6 o'clock news tonight about the 4,500 job losses at Jaguar Land Rover being due to a fall in diesel sales in China, electric engines....and Brexit. Also Honda closing production on 29th March for 6 days "just in case" there are problems due to Brexit. After some lengthy footage and explanation about the slump in sales in China and the increasing demand for electric instead of diesel engines, plus JLR had recently opened a new factory with 3,000 jobs in Slovakia (or Slovenia, I can't remember) as it was cheaper, the point was made that these job losses would have happened anyway irrespective of Brexit - so why bloody link Brexit into the story in the first place ? It also transpires that Honda had been planning a short closure anyway, again irrespective of Brexit.

It's too sickening for words.

Just watched live video of French police tear gassing their own citizens who were from what I could tell normal everyday people peacefully just standing there by the arch de triumph holding banners and singing songs. Macron is losing the plot. Finally, hopefully the globalists are getting found out for the traitors they are.

Macron....Happy to have selfies with third world African migrants to tell the world how he's down with the cause.... then prededes to tear gas the indigenous white french population. Europe is rising and it's great to see through this total globalist BS

Here's the website for the Clermont-Ferrand (Auvergne) newspaper La Montagne which gives a round up of the gilets jaunes protests in the region today. They appear to have gone off peacefully but the protests are still widespread throughout the region and across all of France. As you can see in the first video there is a large Frexit sign on the white van. linkI've been in contact with my French friends this evening and they say it's been another big protest nationwide. Strange that the only mention of Paris today on the BBC News was about the big gas explosion with no coverage whatsoever of the protests which have taken place.

If not things could escalate and come to a head...it's easier to protest when it's warm...the traditional time for unrest

They want Macron out and also keep the pressure on for Frexit. I can't see this fizzling out for a while if what I am being told is accurate.

Whatever she's done, the Police should not behave like this! Sheer thuggery. If it was the gilets jaunes beating up a Police woman then it would be portrayed as actions of the Far right.
