I thought the white supremacist you referred to not getting much 'airtime' on here would've made you happy? If anything it means The Oatcake isn't the Aryan Nation meeting up point you make it out to be- otherwise, surely it would have come up? Damned if you do, damned if you don't 😆 As for ignoring 'stuff that doesn't work for them', you're an expert on that, Bluers. Notably, your turning of a blind eye when Left Wing Club are guilty of the same traits that you're quick to jump on Right Wing Club for. Anyway, as you were 👍 The white supremacist seems to be on the basis he was a trump supporter / attending a pro police rally with the name patriot in it, most reports I read seemed to be he was just your average less than intelligent american who decided macing someone was a good idea only to find out he had maced another less than intelligent american who had a gun, again I have read of no actual links he had to antifa / blm so just dumb americans shooting each other. Well only on Planet Bluers would the absence of a 'RIP white supremacist bloke' thread be deemed a negative. Then again, the only negative for him in this instance is that his ludicrous, inflammatory and bigoted paranoid nonsense about right wing gangs running amok on The Cake has been shot down in flames. So if we look at it from his POV, I can't really blame him for that 😊

I don’t think people have an issue over anything other than there is a very unbalanced way of reporting now where some people in society like those murdered in Reading, Glasgow and Croydon are forgotten incredibly quickly when they are as equally important as anyone losing there life under such tragic circumstances. It just seems like politics is using those victims of murder to different degrees. Those reporting are very, very isolated from what they’re reporting. Either that or they’re simply blinkered. Ultimately the reporting is building up anger and injustice when it doesn’t need to happen. Take away the news and the anger would stop very quickly. With Twitter everyone has an opinion nowadays which stirs things up even more And of course exactly the same happens on here. For example, where was the thread/posts/outrage about a white supremacist being shot dead the other day at an Antifa/Patriot Rally counter-demonstration in Denver? It was reported widely but barely saw a squeak on here, if anything at all. Could the almost complete lack of interest have had anything to do with the fact that the attendee at the Patriot Rally was shot dead by a white private security guard? Nothing to see here this time? People get stirred up by what they want to be stirred up by and ignore the stuff that doesn't 'work' for them. Might be because a white supremacist being killed is nothing special in most people’s eyes including mine. All killings are bad but ones where totally innocent people or people doing there job to keep people safe always hurt more for me. The biggest issue is you having this view that a number of posters are white supremacists

18 year old from Chechnya not well versed in the ideas of liberty and freedom of expression from the country who so kindly offered him and his family sanctuary. Such a shame the family stayed in France when there are so many more suitable countries that would fit their situation and beliefs. An even bigger shame for the poor victim of their archaic beliefs, RIP. Here's the latest update on the terrorist from the French authorities. www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-54581827

All this bloodshed over a couple of storybooks- you don't get this with Lord of the Rings 😆 There's no need to teach ANY religion in schools in 2020. If people want to attend places of worship in their own time that's their choice but kids should be taught life skills such as interview techniques, the dangers of social media and knife crime rather than about some bloke living on a cloud these days. In fact, bring back cooking/domestic science (for both boys and girls) to schools in place of RE- at least it's a useful life skill and something that could open up a career path. I know I'd rather have learned how to make scrambled eggs at school rather than some story about a fucking boat with loads of animals on it 😂

Nah the woke elite are on much higher horses than us 😉 There is no such thing as a woke elite mate. The type of people that make up the elite, in the traditional sense, are Arab sheikhs, Russian oligarchs, Chinese and Indian billionaires, the upper classes and so on... not really the type of people who have ever been much into yogurt knitting, transsexual rights, BLM or any of the other “woke” causes that generally get knickers in such a twist on here. You’re still entirely wrong about contempt of court laws but I apologise for my tone earlier. I was brutally hungover It was patronising you’re right, and that’s bad posting. Again, I’m sorry fella. You seem a good bloke but I would politely suggest that when you have a string of posts liked by carpslayer, it should serve as a wake-up call. Your enemy’s enemy is not necessarily your friend. He’s the friend of no one with decency. He’s far right, racist and full of hate. Beware You shouldn't really judge someone by who likes their posts though mate, you do tend to do it a lot and it's out of their hands when all said and done. Clearly, there's more chance of Crappy liking a post that has a right wing bias (even if it's written by someone right of centre) than him liking something written by a Momo or a Huddy. Likewise, when you post, most of your likes will come from Bluers or one of the usual set.

They shape our world often, except when bonehead populists work on people to overthrow a culture led by ideas and understanding - Trump, Bolsonaro, to an extent Johnson (who's really just an old school charlatan) etc. The oligarchs etc have very little cultural power. They just have money. They don't influence the way ordinary people live except to make some of them greedy. The 'woke' causes are indicators of a free, liberal, inclusive culture. Is there some reason you don't want to live in a culture like that? We could probably do a whip round for a one-way ticket to Alabama or Ukraine if that would work better for you?

Phew you should be ok with a newspaper report just don't post tweets Unfortunately there are always religious nutters who will believe and defend anything they are told is the word of their god, you have catholics who won't use birth control because they are told not to by priests who in some cases engage in and cover up child abuse go figure.....

Well, if governments continue to have this soft hand approach to crime then it's hardly surprising that fear, frustration and anger will be on the rise. When these things happen and nothing much gets done about it then it's normal. I think it's about time governments actually employed actions and not just words. Step up surveillance, seize control of the internet and dissemination of hate materials. If you've got nothing to hide then you've got nothing to worry about.

I have a bit of a gripe with 'freedom of speech/expression', in that I don't actually agree with it when it promotes hatred and violence. I admit I don't know if there are some conditions tied to it, but the idea of being able to say whatever you want to whoever you want doesn't sit right with me.
I don't think people should be able to stand in the middle of a street preaching hate, and get away with it. I don't think people should be able to promote violence or disdain for the country and culture in which they live and profit, and get away with it.
I mean, whatever happened to treason.
80 people in France have apparently showed their support on social media for the killer. That to me is an easy 80 people that should get arrested and dealt with.

The problem with your version is who determines what is promoting hatred and violence, there has already been some quite scary and ludicrous examples of how hate crime legislation has been applied. My view is express your opinions as you wish but if you break the law in doing so start practicing to not drop the soap.
