tbh as funny as it all is and the piss taking will be i wish they would come in numbers, some of these kids on both sides (mainly ours) will probably never make it at a top level in the game, some will never play on past 21, it would be great for them to play in front of a full house in a local derby and a memory for them to treasure and possibly the biggest footballing day some of these kids will ever have sorry to be philosophical about it That would be all 4-5 thousand of them then đ vale out in force. well yes your right but playing in front of 8 or 9 thousand is better than the 4300 there will be currently.... always a chance for one of them to be a hero (either side)

Donât understand why heâs bothered opening a new stand for Vale fans when theyâre hardly selling any tickets in the stand theyâve already got open.
Also heâs made it very difficult for exiled Vale fans to get tickets if they havenât got a season ticket. Why didnât they just say theyâll only sell to tickets to fans with a purchase history?

I love the bit from the Vale fan where he says if they were away at Spurs and sold out their 3,000 allocation they wouldn't be given another stand. Not sure what part of that is dafter. The idea that Spurs have an empty stand going begging or the idea that Vale could get 3,000 to Spurs.

Used to always say vale must be the richest club in the country refusing to give Stoke extra tickets when we could of sold them and they couldn't.
Shame this game could of paid the wages for a couple of months, for themđ

We should get one of those new-fangled hashtags going for occasions like this. #ValeLogic

Think Vale fans realise that we're going to fill their ground, whether we're amongst them or not. Think Vale have made a huge mistake by not giving us the Railway Paddock because they'll struggle to deal with the numbers that we take in all areas of the ground, as opposed to 2 ends. Ticket sales at Stoke have sold out within hours, so that should have been a real indication that we're going to take the piss.

I understand the Vale fans frustration but cmon how can they justifiably stop the chairman who owns the club and are hugely in debt and struggling week to week to make ends meet from not selling a guaranteed 5k extra ( 50k )tickets whilst they are not going to attend themselves
Crazy

I think you will find not only will Stoke have the Hamil road end, they'll also snap up half the seats in the Lorne street. Put it this way, that's where I will be

So he is pleading and begging for Vale fans to turn up but then restricts what Vale fans can buy tickets? Seems logical.

Just fill their stands for them and take the piss. Let's be honest their support is a joke and they could do with the money. It is Christmas time after all.

Genuinely feel for Norm on this occasion. Turning down potentially tens of thousands in revenue just to appease the 10 Vale fans on social media that can't swallow their pride and give up the Paddock.
I don't believe in any way, shape or form that they'll sell anything over 200 for the Paddock but I hope they do, would make a great atmosphere. Imagine if it was on a Friday night?

Any idea why we have only had 4100 tickets for the hamil end when it holds 4500? Or at least it did last time we played there, have the extra seats rusted away due to lack of use?

We used to get the Hamil end AND the Lorne street paddocks all the way to the tunnel back in the day. Is it just a case they don't want move seaason ticket holders for cup games?

Yeah we did hamil end and lorne paddock used to bring it to 7.200 but since seating and the half built stand it's been just the hamil.

The original plan was to have the Paddock closed, until the pound signs appeared in Papa Smurf's eyes when we sold out the away end.

Iâm pleased to have provoked a bit of debate. Last season I had a meeting with Tony Scholes about the FSF opposition to this format. He emphasised itâs value to our young players. I donât dispute that ( although I suspect itâs a tad exaggerated). He also had the view that no under 21 side was likely to get to the final so it wouldnât detract from that, a view shared by EFL officials. Iâm not quite so sure about that but it seems an odd argument in favour of the format. If it did happen it certainly would detract from the final IMHO. I loved the games against the Vale in the 90s. Great local derbies, with sell-out passionate support from both sets of fans. But this surely is not one of those. 300 home fans ? It will odd, certainly, with empty home stands. As Dr.Spock would have said â A derby not but not as we know it, Jimâ Malcolm Im sure youâre aware , Lincoln City saved everyoneâs blushes and the acid test last season , beating Chelsea in the Semi Final 4-2 on penalties , after drawing 1-1 ... those devilish imps them If it happened and an âinvitedâ club did reach the final , do you know what , if anything, would happen to their first team fixture the weekend of the final ....would it be postponed? .. Believe itâs due to be played Sunday 31st March ..we play Sheff Wed on the Saturday Would any postponement be the same for a Premiership and Championship invited club Edit: To make it clear , not for one moment saying weâll reach the final , though personally I wouldnât rock up at any final without having put the miles in earlier ... more the principle , if we or any invited club does , what will happen ...as of course by default a L1&2 club reaching the final obviously has their fixture that weekend postponed It's an interesting question, Scouse. I assume that the first team fixture would be unaffected. I certainly can't see the PL postponing a match for that reason. Even though it's their competition, I can't see the EFL doing so either, but we'll ask.
