Heavy & settling in Stafford. Went from 10'C to 1'C in space of an hour! The roads are going to be carnage coz I bet with the heavy rain it was pointless and practically impossible to grit them! Bizarre Storm finale..

Could always rely on snow there when I was growing up. Same for me - could be pelting down in Cellarhead and raining in Werrington. Always got time off school at Moorside. Some of the drifts on the main roads were huge.

Lived at the top end of Heath Avenue ‘72-90 We were a bit further down Heath Ave (109) until 1968 when dads work took us to Bedfordshire. Been back a couple of times and it brings back plenty of memories.

Used to love making the playground into an ice rink down that slope.

I can't even remember what happened last week but she can seemingly remember stuff from 60 years ago... When were you there Bob?

I thought the grit had to be down pre snowfall Bloody clueless It wasn't forecast though was it, just lots more rain ? The snow was meant to fall a lot further north, and after all the rain was amazed at how it stuck so easily and quickly built up
