Saw this last night at The Lowry.
Absolutely fantastic, Phil and Nige the dodgy coppers steal the show!
Highly recommend.

Have they finally sorted those temporary traffic lights on Birdhall Lane?

Unfortunately not! They’re still causing problems.
Great new story and as it was the first night there were a few hiccups/improvisation that just added to charm.
Winnie the cleaner was a star too!

Great to hear the show was good I'm Going to watch in a couple of weeks. You won’t be disappointed. The set is brilliant. Upstairs on a floating platform is Jean’s living room where Winnie does the cleaning and below on the stage is the pub and kitchen where Phil and Nige drop in. I’ll post a pic if I can work out how. The ending is superb, absolutely superb!

Any appearance from Twin Cheeks? Twin cheeks get a mention but sadly no appearance from the Bamboo Club’s finest.

Was there talk of liking circuses? Old Tommy still knocking about?
Absolutely fantastic comedy, criminal that another series wasn't made by the Beeb.

The circus gets plenty of mentions and ironically there was a big top outside the theatre. Tommy’s still in it but played by a different character. Tommy has quite a surprise in the show!

Didn’t know it had gone live.
One of the most underrated comedy shows I’ve ever seen. It was brilliant.
Going to have to check the live version out 😁

"Was he in a state of arousal' "No, a Ford Fiesta". Classic comedy and a disgrace it wasn't recommissioned.

I've just got back from seeing it, based on this thread, at the Lowry myself. As you say excellent. I guess that it was written by Craig Cash.. which makes me think about Carol Aherne, very sad. ( I would also recommend the New Vic ( as usual)...we have a real gem on our doorstep)

Probably the most underrated comedy of the modern era. Just registered for tour updates but it doesn’t look like it’s coming south west anytime soon. 😢😢

I saw it last year at the Lowry and was gobsmacked at how good it was and I'd even go as far to as to say (takes deep breath), that it was even funnier than the (brilliant) TV show!

Saw it at the Lowry yesterday afternoon. If there are any tickets left for this run I can highly recommend it.
Phil and Nige need their own spin off series. Just the pair of them driving around, like Car Share.
Great venue too, easy to park up, get something to eat and drink.

A brilliant couple hours entertainment at its best. Went to see it on thursday.
Further the stage setting is brilliantly thought out credit to the set designers.

Here is a short extract from The Perdix Project by Stoke author, Teddy Tunstall, a fan of Early Doors - "Now it's time for the traffic news so over to Caroline. Hey there Caroline, what's situation today?" "Thanks Paul, it's not looking too bad. The roads are generally clear but temporary traffic lights on Samuel Street are adding ten minutes to journeys and thanks to Eddie for calling in to tell us about that one. The good news is that the accident that was blocking Bird Hall Lane has now been cleared and the delays are over. ..." -- end of extract. The Perdix Project www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07SJNP9S4

I thought my last posting might give the wrong impression, so may I say that "The Perdix Project" is actually a mystery thriller - a techno-thriller - and that bit about temporary traffic lights on Samuel Street is just a bit of additional dialogue that I dropped in as a tribute to the great writing in Early Doors. "The Perdix Project" by Stoke author Teddy Tunstall www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07SJNP9S4You can read the whole of chapter one and a good bit of chapter two for free. See the "Look inside" link just above the photograph of the book cover. You don't need a Kindle to read the novel. There is a link to download a free app that let's it be read on any device. It was priced at £4.99, but for a limited period it is on special offer at £1.99p. For less than the price of a pint, you can enjoy a few hours engrossed in an intriguing mystery with mind-expanding, sci-fi thought experiments, good, solid detective work and a James Bond-style action packed ending. My next novel, "The Adventures of Jasper Spode", is a crime thriller set in the world of antiques dealing and it is packed with Stoke and North Staffs references - some obvious, some hidden, some cryptic and some very obscure. You will need to be very knowledgeable about the local area to get them all. Best wishes, Teddy.

Sad news read earlier Rodney Litchfield who played old Tommy has passed away in his sleep aged 81 after illness. Fantastic actor and character in probably the best British comedy this century. Shall raise a glass later with a packet of cheese and onion crisps. I'll stay on me own
