It is, a "gypsy curse". I was reliably informed when I was about 11. I suggest we smudge the bet 365 with sage. Or we could use feng shui and Icelandic folklore like we did to lift the millennium stadium north dressing room curse.
That new corner has ballsed up the Feng Shui.
Yeah a water feature would help I reckon. Or one of those giant wind machines?
How is it we attract managers that can’t see what’s going on and make the right substitutions. Whatever he has seen in training playing Crouch up front with Berahino behind doesn’t work on the day. What has Afobe done wrong? Why is Allen starting - I am starting to think we’d be better off with Fatty Adam?
The only fanbase I know where optimism is shot down and even criticised time after time. It's tiring.
It's a long season, we still haven't overcome the shock of relegation. We will start to calm down as a club, and Rowett will suss his best XI.
Quote me at the end of the season but we will beat most of the division and will be in or very close (dependant on how soon it clicks) to the playoffs.
We have some of the most fickle fans going, half of them seemingly bipolar. A narrow loss against a good team is the end of the world, a narrow victory over a poor team and suddenly we are world beaters. It has always been like that on here though, it’s like match of the day - best to avoid it after a defeat.
I think two players made the difference today....Gayle in attack and Hegazi in defence.
Gayle was brilliant - TWICE (and scored on both occasions), and Hegazi seemed to be everywhere
If only we'd 'bitten the bullet' and paid what was required for Gayle
Gayle definitely the difference today.
Given where we were before (Leeds and Wigan games in particular) I thought yesterday was a big improvement. Defensive & midfield mistakes have cost us again, losing the ball easily or getting caught out of position. However, on the balance of play if we'd come away with a draw West Brom couldn't really complain.
We had large parts of the game where we had control, we need to start making it count - but we're creating chances now which is good.
Saw the Highlights on You Tube just now. If only Crouch had scored those two headers he had. And the penalty ...
Losing ball in midfield is crucial not to do. The second goal is difficult to defend against, these sort of goals can always happen. But. They have to be more aggressive and close then in their defending outside the penalty box.
Have watched the highlights only. You have to hold your hands up and say that Gayle took his chances brilliantly. Away from home it seems to me we need to be 5-10 yds deeper to protect against that ball over the top that always seems to catch us out.
Derby must be laughing little apples now. They end up with a top, top player as manager, and we end up with Rowett. I know these ex players don't always work out, but the difference is, Franky wouldn't have come here, even if offered. Mediocrity abounds yet again!!!!!
