What's this stuff about a "delicate time" for his family? Think his wife is getting close to giving birth after suffering a late miscarriage last year

my Brentford mate says the number is 7m. Swansea offered 6. He also says Woods is not even in their best 11. make of that what you will. I told him they were getting the brucy bonus of a fully paid wages of Adam. He couldn't believe we still even have him. Not in their best 11 but was player of the season last year, ok then. you are a simpleton pal.

The fans on the Brentford forum aren't too bothered if he goes. I think it would now be for the best if Ryan went. I know we need squad depth to launch a promotion bid, but I just have a lurking suspicion that harmony might have been difficult to maintain given the massive depth and quality of our midfield had he stayed, particularly as he was theoretically replaced a good while ago, and especially given the form of the present shirt-holders. I hope I don't regret the sentiment if we find ourselves in a major injury crisis! ----- Agree with most of that, it’s just his time to move on, I think all involved thought it was done a week or so ago. We’ll miss him but I do hope the Stoke interest is true, a much better option in the long term and obviously much nearer home at a delicate time for him and his family. ----- Once Ryan decided to set up home in the midlands I always thought his days were numbered with us.Stoke if true will be good for him and his family and if the fee is north of 6 mill it’s definitely good for us.Lets be fair we haven’t missed him and I’m confident we will replace with better but wish him all the best after all he’s been through.Hes been one of my favourite players over the last 5 years but still think Forshaw was better. ----- There's quite a lot more Brentford fans basically saying the same. Hope we've done our "due diligence" on this. What's the delicate time for him & his family?

The cheap Pearson... Our transfer planning is fucked... What does that even mean? Have we made a bid for Pearson? Are we even interested in him? Do you know anything about either player?

How tragic. Hope we can offer him something of a fresh start closer to home, the Bees fans seem to think that's what he wants.

Wow. Absolutely heart breaking. It certainly puts things into perspective. Words cannot do justice to something like this and hope he and his partner have got lots of support from friends and family.

The lads got a weird playing stance. Hope he gets off to a flyer or else ... my Brentford mate says the number is 7m. Swansea offered 6. He also says Woods is not even in their best 11. make of that what you will. I told him they were getting the brucy bonus of a fully paid wages of Adam. He couldn't believe we still even have him. I wouldn't believe you if you said it was dark outside.

What's this stuff about a "delicate time" for his family? I think his baby died some time last year which looks like it resulted in him and his partner re-locating from darn sarf to nearer their Cannock roots. I presume that's behind his desire for a move as much as anything.

Does your Brentford supporting mate remember that they voted him player of the season in May? I'm sure I read somewhere that interest from Swansea had unsettled Woods and Bees manager, Dean Smith thought Woods' head wasn't in the right place, also with their excellent start it's unsurprising that Brentford would let him go

Righto mate didn't know that. Explains it then. Good luck to the lad whatever the outcome of the transfer. His family should come first.

If he's relocated to Cannock, we're going to be perfect move, aren't we?
He'll be desperate for it to happen.
I haven't read anything to suggest he won't be a really good bit of business at that price.
Striking how many opposition fans single him out as a good player, maybe because of his gingerness!

As I've said I've seen him in a Shrewsbury shirt many times and I think he's what's required. We do need a clear out of midfielders though. Can see Ndiaye, Imbula, Adam and Bojan all leaving, however we won't get any cash just money off the wage bill
