Can't say I knew too much about this Wigan side, but then that's fair enough. It's not my job to do so.
About 10 minutes into this game I realised that if nothing else, those lads Wigan have got at fullback are lightning fast, far faster than McClean. Yet with all this data driven information Rowett is supposed to be in support of, not realising that playing down the wings is just playing to their strengths.
I said before, Lamberts playstyle was shit, its equally as shit as Rowetts. But at least he had a plan that he could convey to the team. It's just tragic watching this. Various players who haven't looked this bad before looking terrible under Rowett.
This might, and needs to get nasty, we are an absolute cluster fuck of a club!
Utterly rudderless and embarrassing. If Rowett went I wouldn't trust anyone at the club to make the choice of replacing him.
'Nothing wrong with the process?'
18 million Wimmer out on loan 12 million striker who can't score Imbula training with the kids N'diaye wants to go but no one wants him. Same for Choupo Moting Not one saleable asset in the club. I would say that is a pretty fucked up process.
Easy signings made. When it comes to make signings that would make a difference we can't do it.
The fact that you’d rather stick your head in the same rather than admit that SB has been our best player for 2 games.
Then make some snide comments at other people (without backing them up outside of acting smarmy) all whilst having admitted your watching a different game.
But I suspect you’ll come back with some passive aggressive smarmy bullshit response, so go on, I’ll enjoy that
The bloke was so incandescent he lambasted me for watching 15 mins of Brentford Villa while waiting for Stoke to come on, despite being a fan for 35 years. I found his rage at me really silly.
He was so wanting an argument where there was none to have, because we were talking about different things - SB has glimmered, but conveniently dismisses 2 yrs of evidence that the guy is damaged. (And players don't recover from that). I don't want him to be, but can't make myself a fool by ignoring the fact.
We all want to see a light at the end of the tunnel, and it will come, but no amount of wishful thinking will make that light SB.
Have been through all these emotions before, several times over. Im probably too old for this sort of thing.
Why should I bother sticking with this club? I've only been following seriously for 5 months, we're playing like shit and there's no hope of a bounce back to the Prem so I can watch most weeks for free. Not to mention that I live 3,000 miles away and have neither geographical nor familial loyalty to them.
