So Wembley is hosting both semi's and the final.
Wouldn't it just have been easier to play it all over here?

It's crazy that one of the semifinals will be between a team that plays in Rome the previous game (1500km, 1 time zone from London) and a team that plays in Baku the previous game (4000km, 3 time zones from London).

And once again, London gets everything. The final at Wembley fair enough, but why not have the semi-finals somewhere like Old Trafford and another ground outside of London?

Because it was allocated by cities one city per nation. Spain are using Bilbao but not Madrid or Barcelona. France isn't being used at all which is quite odd.

But you'd think Paris would be an obvious venue. Although uefa politics is probably a factor. Russia just had this but St Petersburg is in. I know it's a different administration but all the same it's big events in consecutive tournaments.

We've only ever beaten major nations in the knockout stages at Wembley.
If we can somehow make the semis again this arrangement will actually give us a genuine chance.

Could be an interesting 3 games at Wembley in the group. Potentially France or Portugal - as well as Scotland. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UEFA_Euro_2020#BracketThen looks like if we win the group, it's a last 16 game in Dublin against the runners-up in Germany's group - then a QF in Rome. And if we're group runners-up, last 16 in Copenhagen against the runners-up in Spain's group - and QF in St Petersburg. Hopefully Germany/Spain don't slip up and manage to win their group - or that last 16 game will be very tasty!

Hampden Park could be quite usable too. Dublin is in as well. I was working in Derry on Saturday morning and a guy doing the electrical back up power unit maintenance was saying he's already got the 4 Dublin games in next summer, Just got to be at the match in case there's a problem

Sweaty socks have no chance, even if by a miracle they won their semi final then they would play Serbia or Norway. Cheer up Stevie Clarke oh what can it be .......................

Is it, dare I say it?
..Coming home lads?
I mean, technically it is. Semis and the final in London is going to be a fantastic experience for myself and anyone else living in the capital. Even if England don't make it that far, it'll be brilliant. And if England do make it that far.. Well, the fucking scenes.

Portugal have dropped to the third tier of seeds with yesterday's results.
So the group of death scenario would be getting France or Holland from Pot 2 and Portugal from 3.

Have Scotland qualified? I thought they were doing shit? Guaranteed a play-off (with home semi-final) due to Nations League performance.

The new system to me is totally flawed and just another daft concoction by UEFA/ FIFA. For example Northern Ireland lost all 4 games in the Nations League so how on earth are they getting another crack at it ?
Also the fact that 4 of the groups will be drawn out with a possibility of playing any one of 4 teams !! Why couldn't the play-offs have been in a couple of weeks time and then do the draw after?
All seems a rather strange affair to me.
