In no particular order;
The Cramps...Heartbrake Hotel (Elvis)
The Fall...Lost in Music (Sister Sledge)
Johny Cash...Hurt (Nine Inch Nails)

Not necessarily my favourite, but a great cover:

Noooo, this is one of the most common threads going. Usually gets wheeled out at least once a year, but the last one was only about a month ago(I’ve not looked, but should imagine it’s on page 3/4)

Miley Cyrus does a good "Jolene" but her best cover is Tom Petty's "Wildflowers". Conner fault Miley, she's proper country when she wants to be.

I sat and watched the Manchester Arena tribute concert last year and had to revise my opinion on her. Really sweet version of Don't dream it's over as well.
Dolly Parton's God daughter.

I know Bigjohn would disagree with this but, this is Dusty Hill and billy Gibbons at their finest and for me is far better than elvis’s version

This could also go in the Favourite Remixes thread as this version is the superior (in my opinion at least) Attica Blues remix.
Vastly underated band The Lightning Seeds - everyone just remembers novelty anthem Three Lions but Mr. Broudie has got some right tunes in his back catalogue.

I like cover versions to sound nothing like the original and this has always been one of my favourites. Hot Chocolate anyone?

Love that bill , great song I had a couple of jars in the pub at Shannon waiting for a flight to NY a few years back with Dolores and Fergal think his name was. Wasn't entirely sure who they were but they asked if could sit with me as so busy. Were quite intense people to be honest. Not much of a music fan and had seen them on a chat show but different coloured hair and wearing a hat so a bit oblivious.

Love that bill , great song Yes it was tragic the way things happened with her Harry, she should’ve recorded with Bad Wolves but snuffed it that day. Great version though. There is an acoustic version that is pretty good too., I like it better than the original I think. Same with the Disturbed’s version of Sound of silence.

Not quite Sinead O’Conner level but on the way there.

Never was in there myself at the time but a few have known over the years felt the wrath of her after a busy night trying to get a drink as we can imagine.
