Big Sam would be the perfect fit for us right now. He’d be there to do a rebuild, which I think he’d relish. He was a multi millionaire before the Everton payout, so this might be right up his street, and we’ll within our price range. Pound to a pinch of snuff that we’d be installed as favourites to go straight back up if Sam was brought in 😉

He's just too appalling a bloke and I'm ready to start actually liking my team again.

If John Coates has got his way over sacking Lambert then he might be the driving force behind finding and appointing our new manager. He went for QSF last time so he may go for someone outside the norm again this time.
Having said that I think we'll be after Moyes first and if that goes pear shaped I don't know who else would be on the list. I'm not sure Moyes or Sam would want to commit to Stoke this soon as other clubs could also be in for them.

I don't understand why we have to hoof it. Why can't we have a good footballing manager? Big Sam is more than capable of mixing the 2 rather than go all out one way or the other. The Championship is a league where you have to both sides to build a promotion push. The last 2 managers to get us promoted to the top league,Alan Durban and Tony Pulis got us promoted firstly by being hard to beat. That is where a promotion campaign starts,1-0 wins, clean sheets.

You don't have to 'Big Sam' it though. He's shown he isn't capable of that over several clubs. Look at Wolves. No reason we can't do that.

If we can't get TP back then Big Sam is the only name in town . A proven man manager who will assemble a squad that can stay up next year then progress to a promotion challenge in 2020.

The problem is stoke won't have lambert here. He will want to run it from top to bottom and if he doesn't get what he wants he won't take it, he isn't a yes man

Doubt Sam will go into the championship tbh. He's up his own arse and wants to be a PL manager. He also knows full well the first PL club to get a twitchy arse in October at the bottom of the table will be wanting him to replace their sacked manager.

Sobering: via the Guardian's Said and Done
Manager of the year Sam Allardyce – reflecting on the state of his trade last week after picking up a £6m pay-off plus £3m basic for 24 Everton games, a £1m pay-off for 67 days of his £6m England contract and a £2m bonus for 21 games of his £2.5m Palace deal: “Money has just brought more instability than ever before – and it’s managers who suffer the most.

This BS that the media peddle to make him sound like Shankly reincarnated has to stop.
