Lots of rumours of exits but none of incomings?!! Or of 'staying puts' either for that matter.

Ha! Forgot you started the thread mate. The whole thing depresses me though, and while the last rites are about to be performed, the patient is still breathing. All I'll say is that if we don't reinvest any money we get for outgoing players in direct replacements and a couple of others perhaps and two loans, then someone needs shooting. So, in effect, we're looking at seven new faces, with maybe five of them featuring in the First XI. That number is probably about right, I would suggest - goalkeeper, two central midfielders, right winger, attacking midfielder and two forwards. That assumes the defence will stay as is, but that hinges on whether there are any departures out of the current back four (including Bauer, who is bizarrely being played totally out of position by McPulis). I'm hoping Bauer is helping out because of the lack of wide options, given the absence of Choupo and Jese. Ramadan just doesn't look like he has what it takes and if we could get our money back I'd let him go. I'd like to see Erik replaced too and if Bristol City don't go up (very, very unlikely) then I'd bring in Joe Bryan! Can play in a flat back four and as a wing back.

Don't let davejohnno hear you wanting rid of his mate Erik! He'll be most upset. Bryan, and other youngsters (ie below 25) who have shone at Championship level, really should be those we have our sights set on come the summer. No more damaged goods who used to play for big teams abroad - time to invest in players on the way up, not players on the way down.

I think there may well be a few surprises in term of the fees we get for selling our best players, remember it's the same individual who sells cheap and buys expensive, fails to negotiate sell on clauses and hands out five year contracts like confetti. I can see Joe Allen going to Wolves, they need a bit of Prem experience and it's just up the road from his Chicken sanctuary in Eccleshall. I doubt he has any great desire to return to the backwater that is Swansea. - I have it on good authority that the Allen "chicken sanctuary" is up for sale. Make of that what you will... Is this it ? Note the "celebrity/footballing pedigree" reference in the main description. Looks like it's ben up for sale for a while. www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-51037353.html

Seeing as a load of this season's shower will be seeking pastures new to keep their snouts in the trough of football excess whilst they leave us to slum it in the league below (bitter, me?), we could try to keep tabs on their links to the departure gate by having them all in one place. So far, what have we heard? Butland - Liverpool Allen - West Ham Shaqiri - Everton Choupo-Moting - Newcastle Wimmer - Hannover (please God) Ramadan - Liverpool (in his dreams) Badou - Fenerbahce/Besiktas Adam - Inverness Caledonian Thistle reserves (okay, I made that one up!) Berahino - Prison Mean Machine 2018

I honestly think in the current market anything less than a combined £65-70m for Butland, Allen and Shaq and we'll have been as incompetent in our transfers out as we have been with 80% of our transfers in. I agree we should be looking at players like Bryan but genuinely don't think those supposedly in charge have a fucking clue regarding the right players to sign. We'll end up with the inadequate 75% of the squad who have let us down for 18 months + some highly inappropriate loan signings. Whilst we have struggled to sign a single half decent striker giants of the game like Burnley and Bournmouth have accumulated 3. Would you really trust Coates, Scholes,Lambert and Peppa Pig our director of football to sign the right 9 or 10 players that we are going to need?

Yes he was impressive during that cup run. Another Championship player I was impressed with when I've seen him on TV is Ryan Wood who plays midfield for Brentford (if Brentford don't go up!). A decent replacement for Joe Allen.

In fact, we could do a lot worse than a triple "swoop" on the Bees for Sawyers, Woods and Watkins.

Perhaps he's sick of fucking chickens. So are we - sick of our "poultry" points return in the last 11 games..... Can I explain here. Having looked at my post again it could be interpreted that I was inferring that Little Joe had a penchant for 'relations' with wildfowl, a passtime with which he had become disenchanted. That was not what I was implying.

Exactly why he has never moved for a fee. I do like Choupo and don't really understand the animosity towards him - maybe because he is not Arnie, but that is not his fault! He is skilful, composed in front of goal, and can beat a man at will. Yes, he can drift out of games and sometimes his tracking back leaves a bit to be desired, but that is true of most wingers. I actually think he could do very well for us next season in the Championship and be the "Lawrence" to a new striker's "Fuller" in any promotion bid.

Definitely a lot to do with the fact he followed in Arnautovic's footsteps and looks a similar kind of player. Parallels to the Huth-Wollscheid debate.
