He won’t drop to the championship Money talks , unfortunately we’ve a Chairman that wants to be self sufficient, Doesn’t work in football these days as other clubs will just out bid and out pay you 😕

There's got to be a massive coup and balance of power for this to happen. If, in the event of relegation, PC stands down, then the possibility of sacking Lambert and going after Flores would be entirely plausible. Personally I think that PC will carry on in the Chair for at least another season. I also think that Junior has got "blood on his hands" regarding recent abysmal recruitment. Big sis has ruled that the tap has been turned off... Will he have the appetite for a long slog in the second tier with limited funds? New owners soon methinks. What a crock of shit Thanks. What bit in particular? Or all of it? You own thoughts would be appreciated.

People say he won't drop to the championship. Guess that was the view about Nuno Santo going to Wolves but he did and look where they are. They ditched Lambert which was the best move they could have made presumably put a huge wad on the table and Santo said yes. Wolves were 15th in the champs no prem pedigree must have been a tough sell. Come on Coates just do it ffs

Forget him. We nearly had him until we went all fucking cheapskate with fucking ridiculous clauses that only an unemployed fat scotsman wanting to get back into the game after abject failure would sign. Lambert will be managing us in the Championship and anyone who thinks differently is a fucking mug.

What is this Project that's spoken of?
Anyone know?
Words like that should scare the shit out of a Football Club like ours. We've already had someone trying to reinvent the bastard wheel and look where we are now.

That's going to work out well. I really would have liked to have had QSF but he turned his back on us. Fair enough move on. Do you really expect Coates to don his gimp mask and beg him to reconsider? I just hope we've got more self respect

Hang on. He’s been sacked as a failure. Are we so desparate now to sign failures? Whether he turned us down, or in fact we were never really interested in him only those in a position of trust will know. He turned us down because he wanted to bring a player as part of the deal, that player was a striker an expensive striker at that, we ended up with Mr desperate for a job in the PL good job he knew our squad in depth or we would be neck high in the shit oh we are fuck I'd have a guess that the player he wanted to sign was Florin Andone.

He will be West Ham bound close season Why you sign a failed La Liga manager. Espanyol may be relegated? They tapped him up before and during Moyes time. He was let down by the Espanyol chairman on a promise to build. Then they ran out of money. That's why they wanted us to spend £20m on a player as part of the deal.

Absolute horse shit. John is a massive stoke fan, as are all the family. Well maybe not Deidre, she still hasn’t forgiven peter for buying the club a second time without her knowing. John as had more important things on his mind lately... one being his new 15m pad. No question the bloke is incredibly passionate and engaged in stoke , however that makes him very well intentioned but not necessarily a football man , he needs men steeped , forged and experienced at the highest possible level in the game around him Interesting point. Any suggestions?

Do we really want someone who only wants the glory of managing in the premier league ? Not for me thanks - he's had the chance to come and help out our great club and turned it down, so as far as I'm concerned, he's the one that's missed out.

Did I not read somewhere that Denise wanted to employ a high profile manager last summer but her Dad vetoed it?. Maybe this may be back on the menu this summer, Wenger maybe, would be a massive coup.

Yes. His track record is very poor with English teams. He's only managed Watford hasn't he? And he did a decent job there for the one season he was there. He's one of those 'weird foreigner types' though....

Any suggestions? So much depends on whose available allardyce has been my choice since day 1 but a combination of experienced and young might do it but they have to have the say on transfer targets if not commercials . They also have to be of the very best calibre not rebuilding careers or Just there cause no one else wants them . One thing. Is for sure John In Charge with scholes mad Cartwright lambert and his limited back room staff spells division one no question

He must be thinking he made a right cock up not coming to Stoke.
I think he'd have probably done better than Lambert. He couldn't do much worse (and that's not me slating Lambert I don't think he could do much with what he's got and shit mistakes from players etc) but perhaps QSF would have brought in a couple of players and perhaps had things been different we'd be looking alot more rosey
Having said that, if reports are to be true and it was the relegation clause that scared him off, then what a massive statement by him. And it's bit him rate on the arse now.
Shame really

I know Lambert has not had a decent crack at the job as he has only had one window but 1 in 11 wins suggests he can't motivate or tactically influence a game to the point of winning
Seems a nice fellow but QSF at the wheel suggests they'd have to back him up with money too to ensure we bounce back up

I think that we would be in a worse situation now. Probably mathematically relegated. So you'd expect a manager who has won the Europa league with Athletico Madrid and managed Valencia to do a less of a job than bloody Paul Lambert?? 😂 If Arsenal Wenger was running this Stoke team we would most likely be relegated- and he was 50 times the manager that QSF is.

Just noticed that he is still unemployed. Wonder if he regrets not coming here I could see him at Southampton once they come to their senses down there. The fans are already getting twitchy about the Cameron link

I think we missed a real trick there.
Not, even, perhaps in the Jan. when we got that twonk Lambert but last summer when we should have ditched LMH & could still wave the PL ticket at managers, coaches and players.
Different days now though; not sure he would have coped that well with the Championship (& seemingly didn't fancy it anyway) which, of course, makes GR the pragmatist's (& the right) choice for where we are now.
You might be right as well (Southampton) - although even Lesser will scrape through for longer than it will take QSF to pitch up elsewhere I would think.
Have you checked the odds?
