Yeah, it gets posted once every 6 months. I must admit, I do miss the great man's folksy wisdom and self effacing modesty. Characteristics entirely absent from the current 'leadership team' it must be said. Self effacing modesty? The man is a raging narcasist!

The OP knew it was gonna cause this endless debate again, anyone whose been on here for a while has seen this video before surely? So sick of this Pulis crap. He did well for us while here for the most part, and he had certain philosophies instilled in our team that can be applauded. But I must say he changed after he left in my eyes, for numerous reasons. People forget scenes like this I'm very sorry i don't keep track of everything posted on here. I hadn't seen it before. If this appalls you please do report me for such a heinous act. To be honest i don't know why people are even debating stuff, I just thought it was an interesting interview with some good stories.

I remember Ric's goal against Wolves so well, possibly my favorite goal ever. My friend and I couldn't make the game that day, being students at the time we were absolutely skint. When Nige was describing that we were getting up off our seats as if watching it unfold before us. His mum's front room was smashed to pieces after celebrating that goal - that was the moment I believed we were actually going to do it. One of my favorite Stoke memories and I wasn't even at the game.

He’s wrong anyway when he says Fuller made it 3-2 and Lawrence scored the 4th

He's a passionate, organised, disciplined bloke that gives a fuck and will fight his corner. Just what we have been lacking. But one who very much has a ceiling that he reached with us. Correct - but we are now in the cellar, it would be rather good to get back to the ceiling.

His games to wins ratio at West Brom wasn't too clever though was it. Hughes-like I would say. Left them in a right state. Exactly. Which knocks all that 'we wouldn't be where we are if we'd've stuck with Tone' into a cocked hat.

Fraudulent penis of a man. 1. May I ask from a point of interest (a) when did you become a regular attending supporter? 2. Can you explain in detail the rationale for making such a derogatory statement? Awaiting your response with interest Never regularly attended due to my old man and myself working Saturdays until last year, and I’ve been watching since I was around 8 years old, so 17 years and counting. And I can explain because this is a man who tried to defraud Crystal Palace out of millions of pounds and was found out, throws his toys out of the pram when he can’t get his own way, ostracises players he doesn’t like, completely took the piss out of us on his return here with West Brom, and has done ever since, people talk about him as if he’s some sort of god, he’s a massively out of touch with modern football totalitarian, who loves to dabble in a spot of fraud every now and again and spins everything to make him look Teflon, when in reality he’s a spiteful individual who’s successfully burned his bridges at every single club he’s ever managed at.

The rest is all opinion and vitriolic personal bile and agenda against someone who isn’t in a position to respond to likewise keyboard warriors I’m referring to the character of the man, it’s hardly opinion when the facts speak for themselves, this is a man who has been ordered into court, and found guilty, and had to pay millions in compensation, and again I’ll refer back to his antics on his return to the Brit, where we put on a frankly hideously embarrassing thank you party on for him, and he proceeded to bounce around the touchline like a demented chimp, willing the ref to send off our players at any opportunity. I don’t see why this is a man who is placed on some sort of pedestal, as if he achieved a miracle, we had one of the most free scoring teams in the Championship, he was backed handsomely to keep us in the Premier League and his tactics were eventually found out and he was replaced, it’s what happens at pretty much every league club in the land and the fact people still harp on about him, and indeed “aard” working players is because for some reason they’re held in heroic regard around these parts, and genuine skill, Shaqiri, Arnautovic, Bojan etc is regularly lambasted. He’s instilled a mentality that we don’t deserve to be where we are, and that’s still in place in a worrying percentage of our fanbase, and again look how unceremoniously he’s left every club he’s been at, look at the state he’s also left West Brom in, a poisonous individual.

You’ve clearly paid no attention to what I’ve written in answer to your queries and instead have your Tone-goggles on, pop them on the counter for a second and have a delve into his career so far, snide comments, divided fanbases, dumbing down of expectations, it’s a worrying trend. As for vitriolic, it’s rather reasoned by my standards.

As much as we agree on Hughes and his oxygen thieving, no matter what you say about Pulis he's our best manager ever. Hmm, top 5 I’ll give you, ever....... that’s just too subjective. What did he win?, how high in the league did he ever get? Who were his top 4 top flight signings? The look at the other great former Stoke managers’ records.

You don't have to win something to be the best. Let me ask you a question - If Jose won the league with manchester united and all the money in the world. Or paul lambert took a club from league 1 to the premier league and stabilised them with little/no money... who's the better manager?

No serious observer would suggest anything or anyone else.

And of course, he is the greatest manager our club will ever have. Cant disagree with that, one of the only gifted British managers still around. A very good man-manager, and he had the ability of getting the best out of every player. Even when he left us he still did everything for the DL trust, not often you will see that from any manager that leaves a club. A hero. Errrrrrrrr, westbrom???
