KO just as I am finishing London marathon then, start at 10, 3.5 hours later I will be closer to death than at any other point in my life. Probably unable to stand up, farting dry farts constantly with my face gobi desert dry with salt lines all over it.
TBH, I won't be able to care about Stoke at that point. Using all my energy to keep myself alive.

Strange that Burnley v Chelsea is Thursday, April 19, instead of the 17th or 18th. Chelsea play Southampton on Saturday 14th and on the same day Burnley host Leicester. A Tuesday or Wednesday fixture should have been no problem for either club.
But I suppose it is good for Stoke to play Burnley just three days after the Clarets play Chelsea.

Another 3pm Saturday game gone. The beauty of the PL it pisses about with fixture dates and kick off time.
If we go down then mainly Saturday 3pm games plus plenty of midweek fixtures.

I didn't even know PL games could be played on Thursdays. That means PL games are schedule-able on every single day of the week.

Why is it good for Stoke, it not as if either side have had a gruelling season, early cup exits and lots of breaks for internationals and cup weekends. Why good for Stoke? Because Stoke will have had 6 days' rest against Burnley's 3. I think it is typical of the incompetent schedule-makers that Burnley will have to play 2 games in little more than two and a half days when they are now having an ENFORCED three-week break (no fixture last weekend because of FA Cup and no fixture this weekend because of international "friendlies"). We had the farcical situation earlier in the season when the first 12 games were spread over 15 weeks from August-November and then the next 10 matches crammed into just 36/37 days (November 25-January 1). No wonder several teams suffered lengthy injury lists - notably Watford, Palace and Burnley. More than 25% of the season played in just over 5 weeks is insane. The breaks mean that Burnley fans saw their team play Everton on March 3 and then face a SIX-week wait until the next home game against Leicester on April 14.Then two home games in just 5 days. Madness.

Whilst you would think so I read a very, very good article early in the season by a QPR fan pointing out how many (very many) weeks they went without a single 3pm Satdee game. Impact by no means limited to fans, though the description of rail travel and cost/ability to travel sounded awful. Friday games moved for tv causing rail travel (and expense) problems. Local pubs, food establishments suffering. It really would seem the lifeblood of the game, the fan, is the last thing on anyone’s mind in this climate.

One thing I won't miss - dicking about, international breaks and a Saturday afternoon kick off once a month. And you don't think they have international breaks in The Championship. I suggest you have a look at this weekend's Championship fixtures. I'll give you a clue, there aren't any.

Madness. I am sure Burnley will recover in 2 and half days as Dyche has a great set up and training plans. Then 6 days to the next game. On a side note i have many friends who are season tickets holders at the Turf and get hacked off with six week break between home games. Stoke have had gaps 4 weeks btw home games then 2 games with 2 days rest between them at home. I have been on the Turf many times with mates since the early 70s and have a soft spot for Burnley and share a dislike for the team at Deadwood. Burnley i hope do the what Stoke do regularly when teams need points and become charitable on 22 Apr (please).

Enjoy thus year, you have done well, but with the worst ground in the Prem, a season based on 1-0 wins it all feels very fragile. Relegation next season my friend.

This is like Tottenham away a few years ago ....we all pushed it and got our train fares etc reimbursed by the club and got the FSF onboard who did a fantastic job
People wait for the tv fixtures to be announced then make arrangements accordingly so if I were you lot I’d take it further ....the Liverpool match is one they covered saying it still might change but they gave no warning about this one
The TV pick is the cut off point ...It shows a total disregard so push them for your money back
