Knee scans are never great, are they? Could be days, weeks or months. Jesus. We finally get a keeper looking the part, then we're potentially thrown into the keeper lottery again I mean his flap for the first made him look anything but the part. Wasn't he already injured at that point though?

When the replays showed a different angle you saw him hobbling and rubbing his knee after he landed. Swansea were very professional and played on it.

Let's destroy a lad who's been thrown into the mix after playing exactly how many games? I'd concentrate my anger on the wankers who have absolutely no excuse including the manager!

While costly, I thought it was quite an amusing performance from Gunn. I reckon he could become a bit of a Monty Penesar/Mama Sidibe type cult hero with the fans if he continues with such hysterically, calamitous performances. He seems pretty likeable. When he catches the ball it will be met with roars from the boothen end akin to when Mama scored one of his incredibly rare goals.
An absolute disaster if Davies is out for any more than a week or two.

If true that Davies is out for several months, big test for Gunn now.
His last league start was 53 weeks ago, with only a couple of FA Cup starts in January.

We’re starting to see some kind of knock-on effect of Butland Derangement Syndrome here already. Gunn is completely doomed because he’ll never live up to the meteoric standards (aka mostly solid performances) set by Davies, the second coming of Lev Yashin (aka not Jack Butland).

It makes me wonder why we let Federici leave. He was more than good enough as a reserve keeper for us.

There would be no sadder sight than seeing shortarsed greasy haired lee camp strutting his stuff across the pitch in a stoke shirt.

www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-city-press-injury-live-4653007Angus Gunn is young with a lot of experience?MON: Angus has a great pedigree. He spent his formative years at Manchester City, he had a very successful season in the Championship with Norwich when he played every game. He knows what’s required in this division. He’s come here after at times a difficult spell at Southampton, who had three senior goalkeepers so at times that situation is difficult. But this is an opportunity for him. He probably didn’t expect to get the opportunity to start so soon but it has presented itself and it’s down to him now.

Thank goodness Haugaard went to AIK! Conceded 22 in 15 games and then on the bench for the last 6/7 matches!

Many folk have been shouting for ages that we should give youth it's chance and find out if they are capable of stepping up. Souttar, Collins, Campbell, Verlinden, TOB, - so why not a goalkeeper i.e. Blondy. We don't have 'reserve level' games against experienced opposition so it's the old conundrum - 'he's not experienced enough - but the only way to get experience is to give him games to gain that experience'. Failure to give him the opportunity, circumstances (injury, illness) could arise where he ends up being roped into the first team straight from the under-23s and asked to sink or swim - which would be unfair and should be avoidable.

Shot stopping over/under performance from the current free agent keepers who've played in the Championship/Premier League since 2014/15. Angus Gunn included as a baseline. Only two worth a look. Massive mystery how Lee Camp has managed to play 160 games over the last six seasons.

Whenever his name is mentioned I just think of Angus Young 🎸🎸
Let's hope he doesn't play like a schoolboy today 😉
Maybe we should be running out to Thunderstruck to big him up a bit

After a - ahem, clears throat - slightly shaky start we need our Angus to show a bit of grit and steady form.

I don't want another Frederici style free transfer of an ageing gk. In the worst case scenario Gunn gets injured during a game and Blondy has to play part of a game. We can then recall Bursik as there is a clause in the loan to Doncaster that he can be recalled in the case of injury to our gk's. He might not be good enough but he has plenty of lower league experience now. This season seems like the ideal time to take a risk on him as we are probably just going to fall short of promotion but should have enough to avoid relegation. Anyway if we all go into lock down as seems very likely will football carry on up to Christmas?

I've been through all my Stoke books but I can't seem to find anyone who has played for Stoke first team before called Angus. Can anyone confirm?
