I think we'd have got hammered at Leicester and nicked a win at Soton tbh. maybe. personally all I could see with Hughes was relegation. now I feel we have maybe a 1 in 3 chance of staying up. it's not great, I don't particularly rate Lambert but laying this at his door I think is unfair and I wouldn't want him long term. the decision to retain Hughes at the end of last season was terrible. I'm not laying it at his door though am I? In fact I've made sure I haven't. He will have played his part but he's part of a bigger problem. That to me isn't laying it at his door but some blame had to portioned to him or else it was pointless sacking Hughes and we all know that wasn't the case. |

To enlighten the majority can you detail individually the specific areas where PL has failed to-date? This will provide all with the opportunity to respond to such a sweeping statement as “Lambert has to go at the end of the season” A statement based upon what.? Thanks He has failed to get enough points to get us out of the shit. He has failed to get us scoring goals. He has failed to give us that new manager bounce. He has failed to inspire the fans to believe that he can get us out of the mess we are in. He has failed to make positive game changing substitutions. There is probably more but I've had a drink and I'm struggling to focus on anything that's not at the front of my brain  |

my view is we are absolutely dreadful and have been all season. he's come in, we at least look organised, the reality is the squad was woefully imbalanced, he's doing ok. His subs are just mental he has no plan he could not sign a striker when appointed because he was not on the ball because he was not expecting a job anytime soon and it shows OK is not good enough we needed a right bastard in charge instead we got a man who was looking at jobs in Tesco before stoke called!! whilst I agree with you, I just look at what we have in the squad and I really don't know what be could do. try bring back imbula or bojan is all I could propose and I'm really not convinced wither would work |

I actually agree with a lot of what you have to say unlike a lot of people on here but I feel Lambert has done a good job since been in charge. The position he took over had relegation written all over it. Now with 9 games left we have a chance of surving I feel. He nay not be perfect bit he's certainly done better than his predecessor. I did not want Lambert in charge at all but I feel credit is due. 2 away points in a row is actually not bad at all. Oh dear. You disagree? |

Go on genius give me his scoring record second only to Harry Kane off the top of my head 11 in 34 in his first season. 5 in 26 but pissed around a lot and the season his Mum died? 1 in 27, played at right back all season. 5 in 28 played half the season at right back. So the one season he was consistently played in an attacking role he scored 1 in 3. That'll do for me. |

I've said to a few mates that stay up or go down, I would like him to go. But I think he has been brought in because he knows the Championship, and if we go down, they seem as the most suitable candidate.
Though if we stay up, I'm fucked to think who we could tempt. Rafa if castle are still in ownership turmoil? Highly unlikely. Go for Quique again? Maybe.
If we go down, Graham Potter? Could do worse. Young, would be a good project for him.
One thing is for sure, Lambert has steadied the ship. 1 loss in 6 is good but when you see only 1 win in those 6 it's worrying. We really needed those 3 points today, and we really should have beaten Leicester.
Regardless of what some might think, Lambert can't be blamed for all the mess. Majority is down to Mr Sparky and his boys club in the boardroom. Though we look lacking in attack with Lambert, insistence on Choupo, and not good subs bench/subs. I guess the same issues as Hughes, but a much more shored up defense.
Such a horrid season. One thing I promised myself if I'm going to get a season ticket for next season no matter what happens. I have never been in a position to afford one, but I'll support my team to the end. I love Stoke and though it's painful to watch sometimes, they're still my team.
