When does keeping in touch actually become getting out of the shit? We fucked up 3 winnable games, can we really afford to fuck up a 4th? Relegation Run InsBut losing would be much worse. Plenty of twists and turns still to come There are but we've got the worst away record in the whole of the football league. We need wins.

We need to go balls out for the win. Drawing is almost as useless as losing.
Unless we pick up four wins we're fucked, we've already repeatedly thrown away chance after chance until we're left with twat all wriggle room.
One point is neither use nor ornament. Just accept that we're down unless we pick up wins and fucking NOW, not "we've seen positive signs, we'll be alright next week".
Good God I'm pissed off at Coates for wasting so much time on Hughes.

No real consensus then it seems.
50/50 roughly.

No real consensus then it seems. 50/50 roughly. It depends on a lot of things doesn't it? If we can get 7 points from the Everton, Burnley and Palace games then a point may be enough. But what's the likelihood of getting 7 points from those 3 games? We need an away win too. Of the away games left, this imo is the most winnable.

No. Games are running out, and we need to pick up wins against those around us to stand any chance of survival. We’ve still got to face Man City, Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool. Realistically, we’re getting nowt from those games, so let’s look at where else we can get points. We’ve got home games against Everton, Burnley and Palace. If we can somehow pick up 6-7 points from those (unlikely), we’re still going to need points from our remaining away games. Adding to that, we’re basically a point down on everyone else due to our horrific goal difference.
The time for settling for a point against our relegation rivals has long gone. We need to win.

Four or five games ago, I would have gladly taken draws at Southampton and Leicester but it truly is shit or bust now. We’ve gotta make two or three of these non-winnable matches, winnable. Such a shame yesterday, so fucking annoying against Brighton. We need to recoup those points elsewhere. Running out of games fast. Stating the obvious, I know.

No draws are no good we must win but having said that they will be thinking exactly the same. Every point is good in this league. If we could have draw three matches where we threw the points away we would be out of the the bottom three now. Yes a few words Nd are needed but don't knock the draws. I guess most of us would take getting 4 points to stay up in our last two games right now.

On a positive and hopeful note I am hoping we improve and get better as PL gets the team ticking over. Wins breed confidence and I am sure we will pick a few up soon.

A win would be preferred. But a draw would keep us in touch. I think everybody is forgetting the other teams around us have to win for it to make a big difference.... there will be some surprises yet. We are performing better without doubt

There are but we've got the worst away record in the whole of the football league. We need wins. We need a minimum of 3 wins, 2 draws and a prayer But a big big factor is who we get these wins and draws from, because...

If we are going to do this, the home games have to be all or something (not nothing).
The 3 games at the start of April vs London are coming up fast, which on current form, sends shudders down my spine. We could well need 9 points from our last 5 matches after that. :/

Not bothered reading the thread, just the title.
Answer; NO.
This has to be the last chance unless a lot of clubs presently above us start to mess up.

We have won on our last two visits to St Marys, go for it! Agreed. Played much better at Leicester, cock ups aside, and were worth 3 pts. Would take draws at Soton, West Ham and Swans but really need to win one of those 3 🙏 W 1 L 1 D 3 in our last 5 games. Keep up the intensity and pile the pressure on them in front of the notoriously fickle Saints fans. Let the force be with us 😎

We simply have to start winning........ therefore I'm hoping for a win. We have to turn our season around and winning at Southampton is a real possibility

No. I want a win. And I think we will. We have to go for it. We are good enough to get a result there like last season.

When you look at everyone else's relative league position, recent form and fixture run in a point isn't enough. West Bromwich are doomed but who are the other 2 teams who are in decline who will replace us? Can only be 3 pts or the wearefuckedometer will be on red.

We can't afford to lose to a relegation rival so close on points the gap it creates is disastrous.

We should be going looking for a win.
But if we can't win a draw won't be a disaster as it means Southampton are still very much in sight.
Defeat would leave us up shit creek bearing in mind Man City come next !

No, because I saw how well they can play, yesterday. The defence was a 100% improvement on the last season and a half, when we were conceding 4 goals in one match per month which does not seem possible but was. Sadly the lack of even an average goal scorer is still a disgrace but the improved midfield and defence, plus the luck which is due, will hopefully pay dividends soon.
Our confidence has not dropped and we are keeping going to the end, which could count for something. As so many of you seem to know what our fellow relegationists will be doing, namely continuing to play much better than us, which is not necessarily so, we must remain optimistic and keep cheering on the lads and our manager who had the most thankless task in the PL when he came in so belatedly and faced the six- pointers much too soon.
