Been offered a ticket tomorrow and this thread has put me off going. Who needs fans when we have people like 'TheGift' following our club. Don’t tread your lies on here. You’re not coming because you can’t be arsed.

I've been to every home game this season and six away games including Man City & Spurs. I'll be at the Ricoh on Saturday. Most Stoke fans will be singing Time to Go should we lose because we care about the club and we want change. Do you not understand that? Doing nothing when you're in the shit means you couldn't care less. Rubbish. Nobody knows for certain whether changing the manager or sticking with Hughes will keep us up. Both options are a gamble. Anyone baying for Hughes's blood assumes they know for certain that changing the manager is a better option than sticking. The fact is no-one knows the outcome. However it is a cast iron certainty that booing Hughes will demotivate the team. Hughes won't take the team down. The "fans" who think they know best will. When the football and results have been utterly wank for the last 2 years and has not looked like picking up, I think it’s a much much bigger ‘gamble’ to keep Hughes than it is to change him. Nobody assumes the new manager will keep us up, people think it’s our only hope of staying up. It’s like smoking for 20 years and being told by your doctor about the serious health implications if you don’t quit. To turn round and say “you don’t know for certain if it will make me ill” is fucking stupid. Losing football matches consistently gets you relegated, nothing can guarantee survival but changing a manager who has “clearly” lost the plot, is a pretty good start. Sheer negligence from the board, such a passive approach, it’s almost to late as it is, before you know it we’ll be waking up in the championship.

Been offered a ticket tomorrow and this thread has put me off going. Who needs fans when we have people like 'TheGift' following our club. I would put my house on that i have been more away games in the past 2 years than you have in your life. Im also a season ticket holder and have been for over 14 years. I am quite entitled to my opinion, weather you disagree or agree, and quite frankly, don't go, i couldn't give a fuck. As most on here won't care either.

JCL I'm not going either because I am not wasting my money on the likely chance that erks like you spoil the match day doing your chanting. I really don't care WHETHER people on here care or not.

I wont be surprised if there are hughes out banners and chants at the game tomorrow but do it before and after the game because there is no doubt the board will hear it loud and cleae! Once Hughes has lost the fans (which he has to a degree) thats the beginning of the end but during the 90 minutes get behind the 11 on the pitch!

😂😂😂😂😂 That last sentence is utter tripe. No it isn't. I remember watching the scenes at Newcastle the season before last and Sunderland last season when their so called "amazing" fans created a toxic atmosphere which clearly got to the players. Those "amazing" fans did as much as anyone to see their teams demoted. In contrast three seasons ago the Leicester fans got behind their team, despite looking dead and buried and with a complete lunatic in charge (who incidentally they stuck by despite some pretty strange behaviour). Their fans made a major contribution to keeping them up. You and a few others on here think you know what is best for the club and are quite prepared to encourage a toxic atmosphere at the ground in order to get what you want - I recall one of your posts where you were relishing the prospect of an "awesome" anti-Hughes protest. Fortunately the vast majority of fans took no notice and the atmosphere was fine. You are behaving like one of those blokes who starts a fight in a pub and when it finally kicks off are nowhere to be seen, You are utterly convinced of your own opinion and will do whatever you can to see Hughes sacked - even if it means creating a toxic atmosphere, demotivating the players and dropping vital points. And it is quite clear from your reaction to my first post that you are in complete denial of the impact of your behaviour. You have all the knowledge and absolutely no sense of personal responsibility for your actions. You are one of those "amazing" fans who will see the team get demoted. For the record I lost patience with Hughes over the Xmas period and if it was my decision I would make a change. However the club has decided to stick with Hughes and I'm going to get behind the owners, the manager and the team through what is going to be its toughest time since promotion. You and your "amazing" fellow travellers can continue to bring the team down if you want. My small, insignificant contribution is going to be to get behind the team regardless of my own personal, insignificant views on the situation. Fans fault today obvs
