Good on the fella. The way he's been treated by Hughes is abysmal, especially after he chased down signing him for so long. Just more proof that Hughes has fucking lost it and needs to be shown the door.

"Stoke could even terminate Johnson’s contract in January and let him leave on a free transfer." Same article. How anyone could defend his extension and the sale of Bardo is mental to me. I think I've fallen off the fence Cheesy I'm trying to keep the faith but blimey Hughes is making it nigh on impossible to even sustain the faith. The man is breaking our club in half. Few draws over the Holidays and Coates sticks, pockets loads on Stoke relegation bets.. Slippery slope. He's kinda turned us into Wigan If that's what you reckon then lump on the FA Cup win and a relegation bro. Got to admit I wobbled a bit at the final whistle tuesday... Back at it ready for saturday nah though. Ktf

What will he think when TP takes over as manager on Monday! "Fuck me, this weed is making me see things that aren't there"?

Did he manage to go into the right room? Sorry Saido but poor lad he is just so hapless, if he was in a shoot-out with Mama I'd back Mama. Says a lot for Hughes and his judgement of players! He's the hapless one, I'm afraid.

I am honestly considering taking a 5/1 we go down to hedge the unthinkable... how long do I wait. I can't bet against us and I feel it's almost my penance to KTF . Will decide on Sunday after we lick wounds or jump with joy. Not sure I will even have joy, be a very conflicted feeling if we sneak a win.

It's just sad. Saido was so excited when he put WBA behind him and joined Stoke City, he could feel the love, it didn't quite happen at the end of last season for him, but we were promised this would be his year. He came back to pre-season looking ripped and toned and hungry to go, but that elusive first goal didn't come, then we had the penalty which he won, took and was tragically saved against Southampton and he really hasn't had a sniff since. The only real memory you have after a year at the club is the goal which he set up beautifully for Jese which shot down the gunners. Come to think of it that was the only meaningful action we have seen from either Saido or Jese. As I say, it's just all very sad If you want to be hard nosed about it then it is about £24 million (transfer fee + wages) worth of sad

I still think if Mignolet hadn’t fluked that miraculous point-blank save against him in about his third game things could have been very different.

I was hoping Hughes had an idea because afterall let's not forget that in one transfer window Hughes wanted his man bad enough to pay £23m for him & we bid as much

I honestly don't get this Berahino love in.
He'd been wank for ages at West Brom which everyone blamed on TP. Then he came here and has looked pretty tragic so far. He's been here for 11 months mow and registered one assist.
I think he'd look out of his depth in the Championship.
Get rid of him, Imbula, Wimmer and Hughes

He’s hardly played Because Hughes hasn’t got the common sense to see that if he plays Saido in a four four two and gets the ball passed down the middle of the pitch to him he will bastard score !! Saido doesn’t want the ball whipped in from out wide he wants to run on to the fucking thing. Hughes play to his strengths you stubborn twat as you have tried every other formation known to mankind except the fucking right one. !!!!!!

I’d get $200 on at 5’s cause it could be a while before the odds get better. If we stay up you’ll be good for $300 & be happy as fuck, we go down and you have $500 to get hammered.

Any player who had the slightest disagreement or axe to grind with TP instantly became a hero and 10 x a better player than they actually were (eg Tuncay). It’s all part of the process.

I wonder how common place this actually is? Rightly, or wrongly, it seems the vultures have completely locked onto us now and are digging for any and every story.
It doesn't sound good from the outside.

The media have now finally and very belatedly realised everything at Stoke is no longer going well This is yet another example of what a complete and utter mess the club is in right now.
Total shambles on and off the pitch.

Difficult one for Saido to argue for with his lack of goal. Crouch was benched for ages despite being in a fairly rich vain of goal scoring and Hughes can be defended in this instance because Crouch causes problems. I'm not asking for Saido to run about and I know he can't impose himself on the game in a physical way but I'm not sure what he offers when he's not scoring. Our problem is we have too many OK-ish strikers, Crouch is excellent in the air and therefore has some form of USP. The problem Hughes has is why have we spent 12m and not improved our first 11? his £12m and the £36m on imbula and wimmer and weve got far worse. whelan and wollscheid would have done better. Why oh why Hughes didnt put Saido on for those last 5 minutes up alongside Crouch n Diouf I don't know.

If we gave Berahino a run of games with a strike partner, will see him scoring, But you just know,he will be given only a couple, then dropped if he doesn't score.

It’s a difficult one. Yes he has missed a few chances you would expect to be put away including a penalty.
That said when he has come off the bench, he’s worked hard, looked in the mood and generally played alright. I have seen regular runs off the ball that are ignored generally due to the lack of quality and vision from midfield.
The problem is though he never has and never will be a lone front man, he needs a partner alongside him.
Starting Crouch is a disaster, he takes away any actual pace from the game and generally does nothing plus our football reverts to more like TP’s vision with every game. He’s a last 20 minute lump it up to his head and hope his height gets him an opportunity.
If the rumours are true Berahino has worked hard, got his head down and wants to play. I really think another manager with a bit of common sense would get something out of him.
All said and done though, whatever the reasons it’s just another shitshow we can add to the growing pile.
