So you think taking our best player off last night which everyone could see was our only threat of scoring was not done or purpose. Sorry i don't believe that. I just think he's completely brainfarting at the moment. He probably thought Moting would add more to the physical side and tracking back than Shaqiri was offering. Don't get me wrong, I was as confused as the rest of us but we played for a 0-0 as he was that desperate to get something. What would have happened if Berahino came on at 0-0 and we lost 1-0? Would we have been going equally as mad? Choupo Moting does he really he's a big lad no doubt but he shows no aggression at all for his size he's a bit of a fanny. I don't see why we'd be going equally as mad if he made a like for like or positive change. I'm even more mad that he left Fletcher on what did he do?

I respect what the OP is getting at, but you will never be able to stop fans abusing their own players and staff when results are poor and in many ways it's just frustration that makes some people go over the top.
This message board is at its best when there is controversy, much better to let people say what they think and feel rather than trying to impose to many restrictions.

If he did the decent thing and resign he'd get a lot more respect.
He's getting a handsome wage for this, he deserves everything he gets.

He needs to be sacked for the good of the club. The fans have played a massive part in this not happening sooner. He's the tip of the iceberg of who needs to go but it's a start. Needs must for the future of this club of ours. You’re looking forward to a ‘vile’ atmosphere. Do you yearn for the good old days of public executions? I've always liked them tbh (vile atmospheres, not public executions), there's just something good about them. And in this case, the end goal for it is the correct goal. Even if we win he should be sacked though. It's gone too far and it's already harmed the club more than any abuse to Hughes could.

What's wrong with public executions anyway we had a referendum on Brexit maybe we should have one on capital punishment and give the old politicians another outcome they don't like.

Nothing good will come from a vile atmosphere yeah the manager might get sacked but the repercussions could be a lot worse like 3 points down the pan bottom 3 which we will struggle to get out of even with a new manager It's gonna happen cuz the fans will be rabid which is expected after recent performances

Football is a passionate sport and that’s one of the reasons it’s so exciting. Stoke fans are no different than any other fans and I think we have been very patient with Hughes and some of the total dross served up . Calling people cunts is not my style but feelings are running very high at the moment I think due to a lot of things including what seems like inactivity by the board .

Expecting/wanting Fletcher to play two tough away games in the space of 4 days at the age of 33 is madness. It's another decision in a long line of decisions that have seen us slide and slide. I can't hate Hughes for it. Like Pulis before him and like his replacement would find, relative success breeds expectation. Expectations need to be met but it's been said countless times before - how do you continue to build and improve year on year? It's a tough gig once you get to that ceiling.

Its nothing to do with two games in 4 days he was ineffective in the first one too and the one before that and the one before that do I need to go on. His last worthwhile contribution was the goal at Watford in a game he was otherwise ineffective in. There is a pattern emerging here.

Personally it was the closest I came to giving up on supporting the club. It was only the physical impossibility of actually being able to do it that stopped me. You’ll love it if we do get relegated then. You might get really lucky and get to enjoy a Shef Weds, Leeds, Forest, Coventry style slide into oblivion. Sounds like you would be in your element.

Personal abuse isn’t justified, but at the same time I’m not going to look down on people calling him a “prick” or “cunt”. I view it as an expression of the legitimate frustrations that we all share at this point.
You can say what you like about supporters being deluded with regards to feeling a sense of ownership of their respective clubs. It doesn’t change the fact that we’ll all still be here even if the shit truly hits the fan, whereas Hughes will move on and enjoy the luxury of being able to wash his hands of the mess he’s currently creating. Plus he’ll earn more money than most of us will earn in a lifetime for that privelege.
If he did the honourable thing and walked before being pushed he’d regain a lot of the respect he’s lost, but that’s not going to happen for obvious reasons.

It worked didn't it? No I won't but I think we're going to get relegated if things stay the same so why wouldn't I want that to change? I've wanted it to change for 2 years now because this was all so inevitable so don't give me that crap. I've been given tonnes and tonnes of shit for having the viewpoint that this club was heading in one direction and I wanted that to stop. I wasn't just saying it for the sake of it. I get told things, I don't get blinded by loyalty to those involved at the club and I don't give a shit that my opinions may vary to the majority. We've been sleepwalking to this situation and God forbid that we actually try to sort it. If that means a vile atmosphere to get him gone then good!

1- He doesn't read the oatcake 2- Do you really think he gives a toss what Stoke fans think? No. He's here because he wants a job and when he gets sacked he'll just treat us like every other club he has managed to totally ruin. Yes I think he probably does, it's human nature no one wants to be disliked for the job they're doing......

No, I'm thanking fuck that something is about to be done finally! It's been so obvious for a good while now that this was going to happen. You can't now whinge that it is when the warning has been there. And you can't whinge when people are doing it because they believe it will help the club. I wish he was sacked in the summer and all of this was avoided because it is shite but needs must. And at the minute Hughes has to go.

It’s the same line people have been continuously allowed to step over with regard TP. What satisfaction it gives to type out such crude abusive stuff I will never understand and equally I don’t really understand why it’s tolerated on this forum by the good folks who run it.

Some of the personal abuse being dished out on here for Hughes is way above and beyond what he deserves. He’s lost it. The players. The crowd. It’s gone. Obvious for all to see. But the level of abuse being thrown his way is shameful. I’d say some of you should hang your heads in shame. But to feel shame you’d probably need a couple of brain cells to rub together. Some posters on here have really shown their true colours in recent weeks. Sad, angry, twisted. Pitiful. Fine lets all just watch him be not only clueless but spineless and say "Mark you must be disappointed with that result" like Nigel fucking Johnson. He's dragging us down he's become as spineless as your old friend. Angry yes you've got that right people are angry what do you want them to be? Agree, but still supportive maybe?
