I've not slept to Well and have been up listening to the cricket since around 6am.
Today feels like a big day.
As fans are we going to sit back and moan our arses off from the first minute to the last at every little mistake or misplaced pass or are we actually going to try and help our team?
Will mark Hughes help us and himself with his team selection and will the players help us and their manager by cutting out the sloppy defending that is gifting teams goals?
Everyone has a job to do today and I hope everyone turns up ready to do it.

This has the feel of 'losing manager gets sacked' about it.
I can't help thinking it might be a good thing for us to lose and Hughes to go. I can't see him being able to turn things around permanently even if we get a good result today.

Huge game, almost season defining. Lose, and we are proper in the shit. Win, and play well, then we can hopefully build. Should we lose today, I can really see LMH being shown the door.

I think it'll be a turgid 0-0 and nothing will change for either club

It’s about this time of the season our boys get going! At least it’s a tight league this year so we can push for the top 8!

A confident 3 - 1 win is my prediction - the crowd will be right behind the team from the get go. Yes we are a bit nervous but that's to be expected .......

Anything short of a regulation three points will be a poor showing.
My main hope for the season is that there is at least three more disjointed, unbalanced and shambolic sides in the league coupled with the hope Hughes can turn it around and have us playing the way we are capable of or else he is replaced by someone capable themselves

Oh guaranteed we'll win. I won't be there today as I have a family function on. We always win on the odd occasion I can't go. I wouldn't mind but I hand out fixture lists at the start of the season too.
Give em a shout from me please.

Everyone has a job to do today and I hope everyone turns up ready to do it. I agree Dave we have been spoilt over the last three or four years of Stokelona and many expect more of the same. Don't forget though that these players are paid fabulously well and beyond the reach, even dreams of many fans. As such they should have the strength of character to rise above our displeasure and frustration and provide us with the football we demand I just sense Hughes needs a series of great results if he wants to keep the fans he is slowly losing. Being a manager is a cruel business trying to feed the expectations of fans who live vicariously through their team and the desire for success but then again they are rewarded handsomely, and whether they succeed or fail Hughes and the players have to live up to their wages if not our expectations of them in order to fulfill their side of the bargain. Let's hope today they can 👍

There's no obvious successor, and fortunately the asylum has a business man at the top still. The stoke fans will be the 12th man today, but will that be for Swansea or Stoke? I fear the former, with people wanting Hughes out waiting for every mistake, and groaning! I can't help but thinking that anyone who thinks losing might be a good thing, should stay at home.

However this game is there to be won,if ever first goal is decisive it's today.
Get at them from the off.
Of course they will be saying the same.
Who is the ref today?

Im just hoping that whoever gets picked today, gives absolutely EVERYTHING and leaves the field knowing theyve done their bit in bringing home 3 points. The players owe the fans a MASSIVE game today

I think it'll be a turgid 0-0 and nothing will change for either club We are in the pits at this very point in time: Absolutely no luck - but then you make your own. Team has failed to show, on balance, that it has the grit, determination, and appetite to impose itself in games. Defensive fragility bordering on a Keystone Cops farce. Players that have thus far seemed to demonstrate that taking the blame for stupid errors is important but actually doing something about it will be for another day. A manager that thinks huffing and puffing for half an hour in games, shows a level of performance that we should appreciate - despite regularly collapsing and conceding a shed-load of goals. A team that has effectively disintegrated from the one we saw 2 years ago. We are verging on being in ruins compared to recent years and there should be no incentive to look forward to this match. So why am I excited about today’s game - have been since the final whistle on Wednesday? Really am buzzing and can’t wait for this afternoon. Bloody well do them today Stoke! Let’s see the Phoenix rise from the ashes.

Says a lot about our predicament when our season hangs on whether we beat Swansea or not. So much for next level.

Love the optimism but nothing at all is pointing to us scoring 3 today. They're very hard to break down and we're pedestrian up front. Not looking forward to this at all.

4-0
Jese x 2, Shaqiri, Crouch.
Have a feeling this is Jese's game - If he plays.

What a conundrum.
Win and the useless fucker buys himself some time. Lose and the useless fucker will probably have the boards backing.
Either way there will be some conflict in the heads of all the fans today.

Hopefully we can get behind the team today and not spend most of the game booing the officials. Getting at cheating officials is a major way of helping your team. Were you around during our first five years in this league?
