Fully expecting a war of attrition tomorrow, grinding out a 1-0 win. It will be ugly, long-ball, miserly, up-and-at-'em stuff, with the Shawcross-to-Crouch hoof being one of the most popular pass combinations. And I couldn't give a monkeys if it was. We need 3 points tomorrow. I'm not saying I want us playing that way, but it does feel like it's all about the points rather than the performance or style at the moment. The players need to step up. In the circumstances ugly will do me this week

I actually think it will be quite an open game. If I were Swansea I would target this as a game to get something from and give it a go. We aren't tight at the back by any means & Bony & Abraham if teamed up front will be a handful.. If they have pace in the team they will be looking to get in behind us and test out our defensive soft under belly.. More than ever before the first goal is essential, more so for us than them, go a goal behind and it could get quite tasty.

If we lose this one I'll start too worry. I think some people are hoping that were in a relegation battle. Not because they dont want stoke to do well but because theyre bored of mid tableness. Its probably natural in anyone to believe theres some excitement going on We'll be ok We won't be ok coz its clear for anyone who wants to see (rather than to keep his blinkers on) that we have completely lost the plot! Its the worst assembled team since we started this adventure in the Premier league. We still struggle to score, we dont even have a recognized CF, the midfield is being overrun and the defence leaking goals for fun. We have 13 points from 14 matches. How are we not relegation candidates? What was once fortress brittania has now become a fun day at the Bet365 for visiting teams . Bournemouth won their first away match against us, palace won their first home match against us but a win tomorow has us back to expecting more than 40 points. Ive realised my post might have been wrong in parts, Were already in a worrying situation for the reasons you mention and a loss tomorow deserves to have us as favourites for bottom never mind survival. However a win tomorrow and i think we'll get a run going and pick up atleast 13 points up just this month. swansea-3 Spurs-0 Burnley-1 West ham-3 West brom-3 Huddersfield-3 Chelsea-0

Grant Edwards Shawcross Martins Indi Wimmer Zouma Allen Shaqiri Jese Ramadan Diouf I really like the idea of Zouma in front of a back four. Extra cover when needed, can obviously get the ball forward with great skill.

I've just not got any confidence that Hughes can select the right team, particularly with 3 at the back, and there's no real plan A, with Crouchy as Plan B. I hope I'm proved wrong but I think Swansea tomorrow is going to be a really difficult game for us to get anything from.

If Hughes can't give Tom Edwards his chance at home tomorrow then work fail me.
Perfect opportunity

I'm taking my 91 year old dad tomorrow, we'd better win. I'm tired of hearing how good we were in 1938, his first game as a competitive spectator. (he reckons we'll nick it).

Thinking he might roll the dice tomorrow and come up with a selection no one sees coming I think he may go with this...... Grant Johnson Shawcross Indi Pieters Allen Fletcher Adam Shaqiri Jesé Choupo 433 Johnson because with the crowd edgy an old head despite his limitations of late and saves options for the bench? Harsh on Zouma but at least all in their true positions....

I hope we take the last few months anger and frustration out on Swansea in the most vigorous and unrelenting way. I’m going in optimistic and realist, we need this one badly. I hope the squad realizes that.

A Swansea fan wrote in a newspaper today:- "To score a goal, you need to have a shot. To win a game, you need to score a goal. We're doing none of these things at the moment. Currently our survival plan is to pray for a clean sheet and enough draws."
Does this make anyone else shudder?
We all know what happens when we face a team that hasn't scored since the war. Or their striker's 46 years old, wears glasses and suffers with gout.
They just can't wait to put the record straight at Stoke.
So, on the basis that I've learned nothing from watching Stoke play against similar no-hopers, I'm going for an optimistic 3-0 to the Potters.

If wifred bony scores its over If? He's nailed on to score. Is he likely to start, thought Tammy Abraham was first choice for them and don't see them playing two strikers.

Good luck to your old dad! Bet he's seen some changes since 1938. That was the era of the great Freddie Steele I think, so no wonder he sings the team's praises then. Lucky bugger to have seen Steele! Hope he brings us good luck - and a win....
