Whilst Pinochet was undoubtedly a monster, it was because of our relationship with Chile that helped greatly to recover the Falklands in 1982. The report fails to mention this and the sale of the Hawker Hunters was part of the payment for this cooperation. Not only the well publicised "crashing" of the Special Forces Sea King Helicopter In Tierra Del Fuego, but also less known cooperation in allowing 4 Canberra spy planes to operate from Chilean territory in the Pacific. The use of these spy planes enabled Task Force commanders to understand where the Argies were concentrating their Super Entendards and other strike aircraft. The special forces landed in Tierra Del Fuego were able to spot squadrons taking off in real time and signal the fleet to prepare for attacks. Not condoning Pinochet in any way, just adding a bit of balance to the one sided report. Ah yes LL...But facts do not sit well with this lot of looney lefties. I think it's bloody marvellous how they get all hot under the collar with all things Maggie related, but tend to turn a blind eye to Bliar's heinous war crimes.

Or this www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/northern-ireland/jeremy-corbyn-under-fire-for-trying-to-block-extradition-of-known-ira-man-31562716.htmlYou could find a negative story on pretty much every politician from every party. I guess it depends on what your political slant is to what you want to believe . That’s why I don’t have an alegience until I start seeing a party I can get behind.

She'd be absolutely delighted that someone of your ilk still gets riled by her... I'm sure the innocent people she helped this man torture and slay will be less delighted but there you go. Not one of the gang has condemned this yet. Absolute moral vacuum's all. Attachment DeletedLikewise........

I’m not sure approval ratings are that important at the present time. These are unprecedented times and I just wish the political parties would work together as much as they can for once

Eat Out to Help Out 'accelerated second wave of COVID-19', study says link so this shambles of a government do it again and f up their handling of corona 19 what a surprise But it doesn’t state why the eat out to help out scheme caused an increase in infections. It doesn’t take rocket science to see from the media at the time that many people were not following social distancing rules when going out for a meal. For example down here several restaurants had to close because staff were being verbally abused by people who couldn’t get in. In fact much of what Boris has done required public cooperation including the track and trace system, quarantine etc where people have openly admitted to flouting the rules. In addition take a look at where this second wave started and has spread from ....Liverpool,Manchester, Nottingham, Slough, Bristol, Leeds and now Plymouth and Stoke. All university cities. The problem will be even worse at Christmas when students go home. How would you have dealt with the juggling act of trying to keep the economy running and stemming the second wave? Its alright if you have a degree in hindsight which appears that most of the Boris bashers have, but many of us prefer to look at the bigger picture with some semblance of common sense. As has been said many times....Covid 19 doesn’t spread by itself it requires people to do that for it.

I think it was bleedingly obvious to everyone that Cummings was lying, surely? The protective ring these tossers threw around this privileged arsehole at a time when thousands of old people were dying lonely deaths sums up their priorities.

I think it was bleedingly obvious to everyone that Cummings was lying, surely? I wonder if the Bluffer thinks burning all his political capital to save his Chief Advisor's skin was now worth it! Especially since Covid is completely getting away from government control, and any attempts now to impose additional controls will be met with resistance and memories of Cummings' little jollies around the country.

I cannot believe the useless Etonian tosspot cannot even turn up on time to break the news that hes going to do the one thing he convinced half the country he wouldnt do. He is the worst leader imaginable. The people who listen to him deserve better.

I’ve never been staunch Conservative or Labour and have voted for both parties at some point in my life. I have to say after yesterday I’ve lost confidence in Johnson. I’ve never been one to be too critical when they’re actually dealing with a very difficult job and like to give people time and not prejudge but I genuinly think he needs to go. Starting a hugely important briefing 2 hours late, waiting till Thursday, closing gyms, unbalanced policing all signs of him losing the plot. We need a stronger leader who’s more decisive and not scared of upsetting people and saying how it is (he said how great everyone’s been). I’m not what the better alternative looks like but Starmers beginning to win me over as at least he seems to have some idea of what he’s talking about. Maybe the chancellor could step up but for me Johnson is becoming a laughing stock.

Just on one point mate since Gina Millar took the government to court they now have to allow time to debate new laws. They can't now instantly introduce it, it has to be debated to allow changes if required unfortunately this will delay it until Wednesday when it will be voted on so the earliest would be Thursday.

Boris is clearly out of his depth and so are those who are close to him in the cabinet. However, I can't back the notion that somehow Starmer is the answer. If there was an election (here) tomorrow I wouldn't vote for either of them.

I do think the Conservatives are more electable I’m just not sure they have the right man in charge.

Myself I think as soon as this hit we needed a government of national unity with a strong PM preferably from a medical background or even a none political PM who could run it independently of political party politics easy to achieve if everyone backed the medic quick promotion to the house of lords for an mp and elected in a byelection
