Not really a big enough range of choices. I'm centre left but that isn't an option so I have voted for left. If you want a more accurate picture you need something on the lines of:
hard left left centre left centre centre right right hard right

Yes, that is true. I'm slightly to the right of centre on some issues and left of centre on other issues. But most people will tend to have an overall preference when it comes to the ballot box at general elections - largely because they have to - under our system we can only vote for one MP of one party. so we have to compromise. In my case I vote centre left in general elections.

In my case I vote centre left in general elections. I don't like labels these days. I vote for the party I believe to be right for the Country at the time. At this present time, I'd vote for the Tories but I voted Labour for most of my life up until 2010.

Good Post!! I for example would renationalise the railways tomorrow, but believe in grammar schools. I'm pro immigration. But believe the NHS should be scrapped, and a Singaporean style insurance system implemented. In Anti EU but pro Europe. You can and indeed should have opinions right across the spectrum. It shows your a balanced individual and indeed your own man.
