I looked pretty fucking stupid last season didn't I? Yes you did. He always does, I was just trying to narrow it down a bit to the bit he was thinking of.

Obviously it is impossible not to be frustrated by the individual errors but if we can overlook those for a minute, I think that is by far the best we've played this season. We created chances and situations aplenty. I'm more frustrated how we've failed to score than I am about conceding 4. Was pleased to see my mate Erik turn in yet another excellent performance. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

The ball was flying past his six yard box many times. Deserved much more than what we got. There was fuck all in our chances. We deserved what we got. Like Bayern said, Courtois won't have an easier game all season. Bollocks. The ball was flying around in front of their goal at times. I thought we took the game to them which surprised me as I thought we'd try defend all game due to our injuries

I was saying the biggest problem is the fact we haven't addressed our problems at full-back and it won't get any better under Hughes. People like you made the same comments "You will look very stupid come the end of the season" it's still shite, haven't addressed our problems and as another poster said, we look like a team of individuals. Not enjoying watching Stoke at all. I thought you'd be jumping up and down when the 4th went in. Didn't look like individuals to me. Some of our passing and movement going forward first half was excellent. Had Chelsea chasing shadows at times. If it were excellent then Courtois might've actually had to do some work. The reality is that they soaked us up perfectly, our attack is simply not good enough and at the back we're still a shambles.

I take it you've forgotten about all the other games we've played this season then? Or do you believe that the only results that matter are the ones against the top 4 teams? New to football and the way the points system works are you? If you can't see a significant/massive improvement in "our" team's performance so far this season, you certainly are new to the game. With a full strength team we look better at the back. That is it.

The striker situation is a mess.
We only have one out and out striker who can do defenders for pace on the deck and beat them to the ball in the air.
And he's playing right back
Lets put it this way... If Cameron jerome had been on the bench. He would have got a game today. Things really are that bad.

Bore off lad. Misty’s stats show that Stoke made a decent fist of it under very trying circumstances against the league champions who clearly showed their ruthlessness and class when they needed to. We didn't though. Courtois had a very easy game and we look like a QPR team. In what way do we look like a QPR team? They had no fight or spirit whatsoever and had two points at this stage of the last Hughes season. We have more goals and points than we did this time last year. We've shown more fight and backbone than last year and more than that QPR team ever did. There's easily three teams worse than us.

If they can keep this up, we are in for a very good season. Keep what up? Creating fuck all and giving the opposition 3 goals? Details.

I'd like to have seen our performance going forward with our strongest back 5 behind tbem. They'd have asked even more questions of their defence knowing they had a strong defence to behind them.

I think we could go down if Hughes is still in charge. Stop thinking, it isn't working. As a one liner, that is excellent sir.

Of course if your defence is solid, your forwards can attack with confidence knowing that if they lose the ball they have good cover behind. When you play with a weaker defence you're wary of trying things in case you lose it and they go up the other end and pick you off Have you ever played the game. I always enjoyed playing in a side that was solid at the back. You can express yourself and play with confidence. Massive difference when attacking.

Fortunately, our next manager was in the crowd today, eagerly awaiting his chance to shore up our defence.....

Weird game. 3 awful mistakes and some clinical finishing did for us. 4-0 looks like an here we go again scoreline - but it felt nothing like the 4-0s of last season. Cut out the mistakes, bring back the first choice back 3 and we'll be fine.
It was always going to be tough with a makeshift back 3 against the reigning champions. To read anything significant into the result is pointless.

Did people really expect that much with 4 of our 5 centre backs out???
I thought some of the play was excellent. I don't get the sub he made though, surely taking Johnson off and Fletcher playing right side would have been better?

To a certain extent I agree with you but when it comes to a Stoke team under Mark Hughes over the last 2 years I definitely think you're talking bollocks. How about excuses for why we created fuck all in the West Brom game or the Everton game this season? Or all the games we lost to nil last season?

Being a shambles at the back may, just may have been down to the fact that we ended the game with FIVE of our first choice defenders missing. A good effort today, yes we struggled to get on the end of some excellent approach play, but this 4_0 defeat was no where near as bad as last seasons defeats.
