Best team performance for a year Would be my view , butland key moments showed how much we missed him last year , Fletcher and Allen and the back three both halves Great , Shaq and Eric top performances ,Eric did a job on Valencia and scored twice To boot , only dissapointmrmt Jesse not convinced he can play there And their second goal came from his attempt at showboating rather see berahino up top or Diouf if we can build up Ramadan on the right . special praise for Diouf who was again simply brilliant as jack of all trades . Manager great job seem fitter , stronger and more coherent as a team , and seems to piss off the other managers with ease which can't harm Are you pissed up Benji? I'm sure I just detected some positivity in your comments no matter how many times i read the post

I thought that was the best performance since the League Cup SF at Anfield. Very encouraged.

I'm much more encouraged by this performance than our win vs. Arsenal. We have some life in us don't we

Brilliant, best performance I have seen in a long time. Looked well prepared, fit and confident! Came 4,000 miles for this one. STILL never seen them lose in the PL.

Benji's account has been hacked! Benji is right. The big difference between this season and the previous year and a half is fitness. They look so much fitter, sharper and readier to play than I* have seen in a long time. (Oh. And maybe, just maybe we got rid of the whiners and mardarses - Imbula, Arnie and Wolly - we certainly didn't miss them today, did we?)

Had filling in the corner changed the acoustics in the ground, I couldn't understand a single world coming from the away end it sounded like a bunch of inbreds mumbling incoherently to themselves.

I think he's referring to Jesse carrying the ball really well out of danger and instead of releasing it, walked it over to Allen, who then gave it away. Jesse did some good stuff today, but has a habit of holding onto the ball too long.

We have nothing to fear. The only 8 teams to be ever present in the Premier League for the last 10 years are: Man U Man C Chelsea Liverpool Arsenal Tottenham Everton Stoke 1-0 Potters Ok so my prediction may have been spot on if we'd kept them out at the break - but basically I was right in that we could match the probable champions and my Top 8 looks right.

Jokes apart was an excellent performance from the boys, if we can keep them fit we will have a good season

Would just like to point out that Man United haven't beaten us in Stoke since Fergie left. Great record.

Just watching the entire match again. Interesting to note how effective our formation tactics and workrate performed against a very dangerous top of the league side.
Very different from the lack lustre - dis organised -slow - moribund at times, shambles we witnessed last season
This should bode well for a decent season overall and , we have three players up front who we now know, can all score, a robust midfield and a very -very good back three and of Course, Englands number one
Also, amazing to see Shaq actually winning possession back off players twice the size of him now - greeeaat
I still cant believe De Geas save from Jese though - unreal !!!!

What a pleasure to watch the game without Rooney refereeing and slight credit to United for not trying to hard to ref the game. I will wait till next time we play them to see if they still, allow the ref to do his job.

I thought this was one of our finest performances for a long time. This was no two-bit team we were facing, Manchester United are going to be quite a formidable force once more this season, and we had them on the hop through much of this game. Better still, we went behind and fought back.
I'm a big fan of Sparky but by the end of last season I was ready for him to go. However, it does look like he's taken the required steps to rebuild the team - this team looks to be a completely different cup of fish from last season, and the new arrivals are looking fantastic.
A great all round performance from everyone, including our manager, and Mourinho's little strop and his sulky response afterwards to interview questions just makes him seem pathetic. Who was the bigger man here, by head and shoulders? Sparky, that's who.
Not felt this good about a Stoke performance for years quite honestly. Our manager is showing his true skill this season, as this is arguably the most difficult he has faced since coming here - turning his own side around. Easy enough to come in as a new manager and sort things out that you can blame on the previous incumbent - a lot harder to fix things that you yourself could arguably be held responsible for.

Manager great job seem fitter , stronger and more coherent as a team , and seems to piss off the other managers with ease which can't harm Now this is an important one - it's mind games, and there was never anyone better at this than Fergie (just watching him wind Wenger up was a highlight of many Saturdays for me back in the day). I wonder where Sparky learned this particular 'trade', hmm? <ponders>

Still pleased with the game, but can't help but think that our "3-man wall" when defending corners might have been rumbled already.
Was surpisingly easy for the United player to run through it and flick the ball on, for an assist on their first goal.
Hopefully something can be done to prevent further soft goals against us, going forward.
