Am I the only one who finds him incredibly frustrating?

Always going be difficult for him at West Brom, hardly any space to work in

Certainly could have influenced the game more, seems to take the easy option every time today.

Much like Arni, he only turns up once every five or six games.

He was a lot more involved than if he had been stuck out on the wing. WB did a good job of closing him down. We need persist with him in that position. I'd be tempted to try Bojan instead of Allen who didn't contribute much.

He was OK but not brave enough in taking a risk.

No, you're not the only one. Drives me crackers. Three out of ten today, contributed absolutely nothing, total waste of a shirt. It won't even need washing before next game. A luxury we could do without for me, I'm afraid. Decent offer and he'd deffo be a goner, if it was down to me.

Class act, but denied any breathing room today against 6 or 7 at the back. Will have better days, but will always be considered a threat by the opposition

He was battling it out with Joe Allen and Jese for weakest link today. He is still a great player but he shouldn't have been allowed to drop deep and pass the ball as SLOWLY as he did.

One of his days to forget today.
At least we've got options to bring off the bench in that position if needed.

Well there was no movement from Jesse or Moting ( a guy who is six foot two and makes Joselu look hard), on the outside we had Pieters who has no concept of when to make a forward run and when to act like a post, but yes Shaqiri was clearly useless. Jesus!

Haven't even read this thread, he'll thrive in more open games, judging anyone against a Tony Pulis side just isn't on imo

Regarding Allen, he's getting too many passes intercepted, when we're on the break. Needs to improve that area of his game. Thought Ramadan offered more of a threat when he came on. Zouma looked mightily impressive with his forward runs. Seemed to leave a few West Brom players for dead at times!

He's a luxury player, and I'm not sure that he's good enough to have that tag. Mid-table is about his level.

The movement around Shaq is an absolute disgrace. It's all well and good moaning that he only ever played the 'simple pass' but would any of you care to suggest a time when there was any other pass to play? There were no runs in behind from either wingback, no run beyond the striker from a midfielder and no run into the channel from Choupo. So to whom is Shaqiri supposed to play this killer pass?

Thank god it's not down to you then You can count the number of really good games he's had for Stoke on one hand. Mind you he misses as many games as he plays through "injury". Sorry mate, I'll stick with my view, although I'll respect yours too, however wrong I think you are

Poor today but can be a game changer, be interesting to see if he ups his game for Man Utd. If he played to the fullest of his ability week in week out he wouldn't be at Stoke.

Again very disappointing today. He is almost every week in fact - I always want him to play, and do what he seems to be able to do against Hull (home and away) but the other 36 games are altogether different.
Is he out of position? Or not given the right balls? Or is he just not very good...?

Don't think he was fully fit today. Shaq in pre season was running around with pace and in a direct style, today he seemed to protecting whatever injury he suffered last week. Hughes shouldn't have played him today.

he is frustrating, very one footed . several times he was down on the right byline but kept trying to switch it back on to his left foot. Loses all impetus on the move

Loses all impetus on the move I don't doubt his ability for a minute, but I swear I would prefer an effective speedster on the right or even put Ramadan there. As good as he can be, Shaqiri slows us down too often.

Haven't even read this thread, he'll thrive in more open games, judging anyone against a Tony Pulis side just isn't on imo This for me. West Brom were so deep there was no space for our "creative" players to play in, hence why he was dropping so deep to get on the ball. Add to that there was very little movement in front of him he was always going to struggle to make an impact today. WBA just isn't his kind of game.
