Just back from one of the most bizarre days racing I can remember. Champion hurdle a complete turn up. And I’ve not seen it back yet but what was Ruby doing on Beni? To me it looked like the race was won. Why take any kind of chance with it. Let him get it’s stride and win the race. Luckily Rachel Blackmore got me completely out the shit

My single worst day’s punting at the festival in 12 years of betting on it.
Fakir was the closest I came, finishing 4th in the supreme.
Glen Forsa fell BVD fell Mr Whittaker ran no sort of race Benie Annie Power’d Red Indian was in trouble a long way from home and Riders On The Storm was shite and fell also I think. Ok corral had more traffic problems than the M6

I doubt we were alone in backing those three but no surprise. this is why bookies satchels are allways bulging at Cheltenham.i heard a plum spot at Cheltenham can cost a bookie £100,000

Gutted today! Picked a horse for each race then backed them in a 7 horse Each-Way Accumulator. Potential returns were £500k Got 6 out of 7 in. Lost on 3rd race so bet was dead from there!
Don’t really know how to bet in other ways on horses but was wondering if I could have done it differently and still won a wedge?

Tried put £10ew on but it said I only need to stake £3.32 ew for maximum payout of £500k. So £6.64

Tried put £10ew on but it said I only need to stake £3.32 ew for maximum payout of £500k. So £6.64 You could have had: 21x 5 Folds 7x 6 Folds 1x 7 Folds which would have got a return ( but not as big ), But that would be 58 bets (Each Way), so it's either a smaller stake for the same outlay money placed, or the bet you placed.

Thanks but I don’t really understand what you’re saying lol. Think I’ll stick to a single bet on big race of the day! With 7 selections the combination bet you'd need would be a "Super Heinz". A Super Heinz is a combination bet made up of 120 single bets covering all the possible singles, doubles, trebles etc. Each Way it would essentially have been 240 bets (120 win bets and 120 each way bets at revised odds, dependent on place terms for each race). With 6 out of 7 winners you'd still have made a large profit but the cost of the bet would have been significant; a £1 EW Super Heinz would have cost you £120, a £0.50p Super Heinz costing £120 etc. Alternatively, you could have chosen to back just the doubles or trebles or 4-fols etc from the 7; what's known as a 'permed' bet. Anyway, 6 out of 7 on the horses is a fucking excellent effort...any tips for tomorrow?!

if you want any tips just ask the golfer lee westwood, last year he won over 20k and this year he has done it again with 6 out of 7 of his horses winning. his bet was £240 so could be a £2 super Heinz or a £1 eway/way super Heinz.this bet allegedly scooped him over 40k. I say allegedly because it has just disappeared off my newsfeed??
