Brilliant festival.
Some take outs: - Samcro will win whatever race he turns up for next year, Arkle, JLT, Champion Hurdle anything. That Ballymore is the best novice race ratings wise since Altior/Min/Buvuer Supreme a few years ago. Black Op is a beast and the rest behind are worth following.
- Summerville Boy is a serious beast, to do what he did after them jumping errors was magnificent. Kalasnikov will be a better chaser too.
- Footpad was breath taking. Another who will go next season unbeaten whether it's Champion Chase route or maybe goes King George.
- Chesterfield will win next time out, notebook him. Was held up in County came 6 wide with an eye catching move and looked the winner coming to the last. That effort took a little out of him and he tired late to finish 3rd. He will win at Aintree or Ayr.
- Balko Des Flos is a seriously progressive beast, would win Ryanair for next few years if they wanted. Won't stay Gold Cup.
- Presenting Percy is next years banker for Gold Cup. I can't have him beaten. He's 2/2 at Cheltenham, the figures he put up in the RSA were out of this world ahead of everything in the Gold Cup bar top 2 and he's only a novice. He's also better on better ground so scary how easy he won.
- Rather Be will win at Aintree. Lost at last years Cheltenham and then bolted up at Aintree. This year got done on the line by a chucked in horse in the Close Brothers. Better ground would mean he's a cert at Aintree for me.
- Anibale Fly goes very close in the National. Official handicapper put his rating from 156 to 169 so up 13lb he's thrown in now and will stay if given a quiet ride.
- Ballyward will be the best horse from the Albert Bartlett
- Glenloe and Delta Work are graded horses. Yard smashed them both up especially Glenloe like they were good things and pulled well clear.

Excellent review mate, I have to say I agree with a lot of that and I'll defo be taking the rest on board. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on Cause of Causes chances in the National? Looked to me this year they give him an easier run in the cross country, with the National in mind.

There are quite a few running that had a hard race at Cheltenham. They are around the top of the betting and to be fair are the class horses running in a handicap. After having a bet in over 30 odd Grand Nationals I think I have had no more than 4 winners, its that unpredictable. Stick a pin in pal Having said that my main bet is Seeyouatmidnight.

Three for me, prices have all come in since i backed them though. Anibale Fly @ 20/1 - 3rd in the Gold Cup and was staying on stoutly finishing best of all. With another furlong or so, we'd probably be looking at a potential Gold Cup & Grand National Double. Is effectively 9lb well in for this race. As long as the Gold Cup hasn't taken to much out of him (the extra week between the two this year may help with this greatly) and he stays on his feet, I feel he's got a massive chance. The price now reflects this mind, but was available at double the odds only 2 weeks ago. Tiger Roll @ 20/1 - Ran a massive race in the Cross Country after being primed for it, but I think that the National was always a target too. The extra week off will hopefully have aided in the recovery of this. Set to run a big race after he bossed the cross country fences. Vicente @ 33/1 - Scottish National winner, will get the distance. Current 20/1 isn't as appealing as the 33s that were available not so long ago but there are defo worse chances in the race.

Be surprised if Vicente runs, LGH. Heavy ground on the National course wont suit him. With the cut off for reserves being 1pm today, I'd expect him to be declared a NR within the hour.

Always been a bit up & down on the National, generally better on flat, but had a bit of a year last year. Had 3 x e/w & 3 x RFs on One For Arthur, Cause of Causes & Blaklion. You can imagine there was some serious supping chez Quietman that night. Totally agree about Anibale Fly. I'd say get on now as he'll probably drop to 12/1 tomorrow. My other 2 this year are See You At Midnight & Last Sumurai. Same combo e/w & RFs.
