Just watched it mate. Pulled like a bastard train for half the race, but Jesus Christ when Frankie said go he didn't half fucking go!
I've said all along that all these Frankel's I've seen look like they want 10-12f, from my knowledge that's the first I've seen run over 11f & boy did he look good.

The Craven meeting at Newmarket is on the box today (Along with some bullshit from Cheltenham - Anna these jumps fucked off yet ) Any fancies from anyone? I've got to give Seven Heavens another chance (2.25), first time hood on him today should help him to settle better. I quite like Balding's runner in the Nell Gwyn (3.35) Poet's Vanity. There's a fillies maiden later on the card (4.45) where I like Natavia trained by Roger Charlton. He's only had 5 runners in April with figures of 21511.

Fucking typical, the Gosden/Dettori horse I back does nothing, and the other two get beat by Gosden/Dettori horses!

TDC, nice spot, do you think Frankl's offspring will stay the Derby distance? Definately, one million percent. I think that everyone thought as Frankel's would be all about speed (He was given plenty of sprinting mares early on) but right from his very first runner (Cunco) they have looked all about stamina to me. The further they go the better they'll be in my book. Take Eminent yesterday, he was only just getting into top gear when he crossed the line, it took Jim Crowley an age to pull him up afterwards. Here's a clip of Monarchs Glen running over 11f the otherday (The furthest a Frankel has so far ran) Do you think he'll have any problem going an extra furlong?

Another big race win for Sizng John... bit the machine Coneygree is back. Think he may have had Sizing John & Djakadam beat but for a rare error 2 out.

I was gutted for him then, Jeff. He made a slight mistake at one down the back & then knuckled on landing two out, but he deserved to win that race. Hopefully we get to see Coneygree, Thistlecrack, Might Bite, Yorkhill & Douvan facing off in next years Gold Cup!

The Guineas is here! Who's everyone siding with? I've already got money on Eminent, and I shall chuck some on Dream Castle in the morning as an eachway play (Maybe a bit on Lancaster Bomber aswell -- Although I get the feeling Pricewise will pick one of them & ruin their price!)
Anyroad, we can't talk about the Guineas without whacking up the greatest performance ever seen in the race... Can you believe it was SIX years ago?! Where the fuck does time go?!

Fost day of the Chester May meeting. Be the first year I've not attended the meeting in god knows how long. Only the ITV races for me. I enjoy the meeting as a spectacle but it's becoming more & more of a 'no bet' course for me with every passing year.
1.50 - Big Time Maybe. (Hoping some early speed can overcome the poor draw) 2.25 - Enable. (It's Gosden & Detorri, given their start to the season that's good enough for me) 3.00 - Confessional. (Original pick a NR, and other NR's effectively put Confessional in Stall 4 now so worth a chance) 3.35 - Blakeney Point & The Cashel Man. (BP got the plumb draw & yard in good form. TCM should hopefully love this & not too badly drawn)

After having winners in the first two races yesterday, it all went a bit wrong after, with the worst part of the day when I decided not to back Here & Now at the very last second and instead went with the short priced Frankie mount.
Anyway, on to today here's my selections for what they're worth:-
1.50 - Khairaat 2.25 - Folkswood 3.00 - Via Egnatia 3.35 - Tamleek 4.05 - Dahik 4.35 - Zamjar 5.05 - Banish

1.50 - Berkshire. (Fav is no kind of price so Berkshire seems the obvious one to take him on with) 2.25 - Royal Artillery. (Big beast of a horse who'd have needed his comeback run. Hopefully he'll improve a fair bit for that) 3.00 - Arc Royal. (Most of his best form comes at this track, sneaks in at the bottom of the weights) 3.35 - Count Octave. (Huge price for a horse whose Dam has given us Treasure Beach -A horse who won this race a few years back beating Nathaniel, before going on to run second in the Derby & win the Irish version- and whose Sire is the mighty Frankel) EDIT : Remind me not to copy the race times off LGH again. Fucking 1.05
