Is it fuck. He's saying he's a good player and will get better, considering the amount of time he has spent on the bench at Spurs. H Bayern at times doesn't have an honest opinion mate ....he sees how a thread starts panning out then goes against the majority? It happens way too often to be anything else Bayern - the master of negative spin! He's wasted on a football message board - he should be in politics as a spin doctor - he'd be brilliant at trashing anything the opposition party says!

It just seems a very strange thing to say about an 18m near record signing. Who at 24 should really be the finished article, especially for 18m. It's a very strange turn of phrase to use. Especially as he is such a good defender already. Is it fuck. He's saying he's a good player and will get better, considering the amount of time he has spent on the bench at Spurs. H He's talking about him like TP would a 26 year old kiddy. He's an experienced international, there's no reason for it.

Nothing to see here. H

TP days kiddie/ one for the future means he has no intention of playing him. Hughes (or any other manager) uses a similar phrase and it means next to nothing. Pugsley argues that TP has brainwashed Stoke supporters,in a way TP has with you. Hughes comment was next to meaningless. Of course he's going to play Wimmer on a regular basis. Move along nothing to see here.

I took it to mean he'll be a great player for us for a long time to come, i.e. the future, but can still improve. Not sure what the big deal is with the statement. Seems a fairly standard thing that managers come out with.

TP days one for the future= not going to play (which would indeed be bollocks) Hughes/anyone else says it= he's going to play for many seasons.

Which in this case is just a weird thing to say. On said group chat where this was mentioned, so was Imbula. Maybe it's a prerequisite for an 18m quid signing? 😂

Overshadowed a bit by some superb performances, but slipped into the back line perfectly. Very solid, no fuss debut. We really do have a back- line that's starting to look very, very good.

My only gripe is that he looked to cut inside a lot instead of playing on the outside but a very strong performance. This lad is one for the future👍

Wouldn't give him a rating out of 10 because it was an all round solid performance. However he does get 10/10 for being part of a team that took points off the scum.

In the first half he grabbed Lukaku, threw him offside and stepped up. How good is that?

We look a much more solid side this time around.Fletcher a big plus and we also have more craft at the top end of the pitch.Much more optimistic for the season ahead.Wimmer will and should feel quite pleased with his first game in red and white. Also a mention for the excellent Zouma who just ouzes class!

He was excellent. There was a bit of a disconnect between the defenders at times but hardly surprising when it's his first game with us and Shawcross is missing.
And it doesn't get much tougher than Rashford with his pace and Lukaku with his power.
Great debut.

Wimmer did OK, but I still prefer Bruno. We also missed Shawcross today in my opinion! Despite of this a very good team performance!
