The article also states that West Brom players spend the least time injured compared to the rest of the league.....

Here's a thought... Pulis's teams get to forty points quite quickly then appear to switch off. Perhaps because they are pushed too hard early doors they fade towards the end of the season? Sounds a bit familiar.

What a mardarse, I'd love to wake up at 5 in the morning to run up some hills in scenic Austria, never mind getting paid thousands in the process. Why don't you then?

I don't think our fitness is anything to write home about. The myth about us being stronger in the second half of the season has now been exposed and its painfully obvious when we turn up for our twice annual dry bumming by Spurs that not only are they far superior technically they are vastly fitter than us as well. Fitness was a major issue in lots of games , Spurs being the stark contrast .

This is all going classic Pulis. Hilarious. i cannot see why some posters are having a go at tp over this. tp is the manager and his methods include having a tough fitness regime pre season.if a player refuses to do this then he should have his pay stopped immediately. being fit is part of their job. footballers have far too much influence these days.

On the one hand I agree. On the other my experience of TP here says that something else has happened and this is a convenient story to make the fancy pants player look a mug and to make TP look like a big hard man. I don't buy it. It happens way too often.

Poor lad millionaire having to get up early and work .seems another modern football waster to me . Aah another player falls out with Pulis and it's the players fault He does fall out with quite a few players everywhere he goes ...he's very unfortunate in that regard There's 25 players and 1 manager. Who else can he fall out with?

Footballers are supposed to be like athletes these days and stay fit all year round, instaed of being all round in the summer weeks close season!
Tennis Players, Cricketers, Cyclists and track & field Athletes have an all year round mentality - Most European Footballers also do.

Players like Chadli deserve a kick in the nuts refusing to do what the rest of his team mates do to get fit is pure detrimental to team spirit, and any body knocking a coach for this is absolutely barmy, Coaches are there to get players as fit as possible to give their all for the supporting fans not to namby bamby overblown ego's.

Don't worry mate he runs Hughes down as well, he is one of those that runs every Stoke issue down so he can brag I told you so,it will happen for him one day only because of law of averages.

As the post above yours says he should already be fit and this whole blasting them into pre-season is a bit old hat. Just like ours seems too easy, I don't think TPs is appropriate for the modern footballer who is a naturally fit athlete.

Well no I haven't but clearly neither have you. And it has fuck all to do with this. Premier League footballers on the whole will be as fit now as when they finished the season. Their match sharpness will be decreased but it shouldn't take much to get them to where they need to be. They're checked throughout the summer, given regimes to follow etc. It's not the 70s anymore.

Agree with Bayern. I don't understand how Pulis can be so strict on Chadli's fitness. How has his fitness dropped that much from when they finished the season until now? It's not like he's sat on his arse smoking/drinking and eating junk food since then. Maybe Pulis is just being a drama queen, either way I doubt WBA fans will ever see Chadli again.

That's Chadli finished there now The politics will begin as to the reasons he's being left out ...I hope the WBA fans are ready for it Add to..... - Pulis won't manage in the Premier League again. - Pulis will get Palace/WBA relegated. - Pulis won't manage a very ordinary WBA side to a higher finishing position than Stoke. ....aren't fall outs between manager and player part of the territory? We certainly seem to have a few issues in our own squad.

Of course we play WBA next month, guess we will get some idea as to which team is best prepared physically.
