The controls haven't aged well. I read an article yesterday that explains that as they didn't have the original source code to work with it was a ground up rebuild, the difference now being that in the past the things you landed on were square and flat edged which led to more precision, they used oval round edged shapes this time which has led to the controls being the way they are, a fix is apparently being worked on....

Can't for the life of me find this in stock locally. Tried longton tesco, Meir park tesco, Smyth's, game hanley, sigh. Anyone seen it in stock anywhere?
Think they must have mid judged just how popular crash was going to be.
Hope that with Activision seeing how well this has sold Spyro will be next.

I've seen loads of people moaning about no stock. Am I the only person that prefers to download their games from the PSN store? I'll only buy games on disc if they're an absolute bargain.
Changing discs over is something that people used to have to do, this is 2017 for christ's sake.

Shall take a look at tesco cheers bud.
I only buy digital games when I have to because there is no disc release ie outlast, firewatch etc
The thing that annoys me is they don't encourage people to buy digital. Crash for example is £35 on the PSN store, yes you could argue its in stock but stock shortages are not normally a problem. Where as Tesco its £28 quid and I'm getting a physical copy which I can trade on once I've completed the game and get roughly 50% of my money back.
Until the publishers start passing on the production saving costs and consider the trade in factor I shall not be making the switch to digital.
Although changing discs does feel a little primitive ha.

The first one is royally fucking me up the arse, I'm stuck on Slippery Climb and it's reducing me to a weeping, flailing mess.

Yep me too. The second high road you come across where you have to bounce the turtles is such a pain in the arse. Apparently the first game alot of original mechanics were missing so they remade alot of it and its not quite there in comparison to the first, something to do with jumps not being as long, high etc which while the game should be hard parts are coming across as impossible. I even tried cheesing the level and walking the ropes but that's bloody hard to. I think they're looking into this.
For a real challenge there is a free download on the PSN store stormy ascent, yeah I gave up pretty early on, didn't even reach the first checkpoint.
Great collection though, well worth buying!
