Good to see we've all come through the festivities relatively unscathed and still in peak condition for the game at the weekend. I must admit Mrs Dees hit the rhubarb gin pretty hard at Christmas and the fumes by themselves were almost enough to get me drunk but a piece of Brie up each nostril helped me avoid the worst of it.
Looking forward to reading the Gaffer's reports of our games over the holiday period and I'm fighting fit for this weekend's game.

Have you been in Parliament Square for a few days boss? Ha ha, if only. But no, actually Leek. It's a little-known fact that dice have been illegal in Leek since 1894

Strong bench... UIMS Passion Fruit. Mixed bag of results over the festering period Gaffer. Good win at Palace, thought we were unlucky not to beat the Foxes, and Spurs were just too good on the day although we gave them one heck of a game. Looking forward to the Terriers today - first game for my (hopefully) lucky new boots (from Santa !). I've been "wearing them in" at home so no blisters etc during the game but they've made a right mess of the wooden floor in our house. Porridge followed by scrambled and egg and salmon for breakfast, and then a last pre-match top up of Om ! COYMEEFC !

That's brekkie out of the way, avoided the smoked salmon and stayed with black pudding, egg and a couple of rashers of sains finest. Brown sauce optional. All kit sparkling and ready to go, I anticipate our forward duo having a field day today.

I’ve been at it like a scoundrel over Christmas. Had 3 birthday celebrations. One in Nice, Bath & Stoke. Been on planes, trains, trams, buses & not got one bug. Been back in the office for a week & got a 🤧. Talk about sick building syndrome. I’ll do me best. Might try Deesides trick of bunging some Brie up me nostrils

I haven't tried any danish blue as I reckon that might just make your eyes water !

Tidings of joy: EEFC 3 v 2 Hudders. EEFC dominant throughout 2 v 1 up at half time, with goals from Felonious {off a Murphs free kick}, and HarryB's converted penalty {foul on Northy in the box}. Only one corner in each half, it was all pass and move. Second half Pearo sealed the win with a tap in directly from a Bath goal kick! Player ratings later. UIMS.

One man’s tap in is another man’s 20yard volley. Not according to the 'Rules of Engagement', the roll of the dice and the turn of the cards Pearo. I thought the beauty was in the movement, the perception of the drop and the execution. A reminder of the 'type of goal' roll of the dice: Roll 1 = Tap in. Roll 2 = Header off a corner. Roll 3 = On the end of an indirect free kick. Roll 4 = Scored from a direct free kick. Roll 5 = Solo worldy. Roll 6 = Scored from the penalty spot. UIMS

Good defensive performances with the Cap'n and our lethal ladies up front looking like they're still working off their mince pies but they'll definitely be back firing on all cylinders next game. Got to keep this going for the rest of the season now. Lofty 7th place is nice position to be in but surely we can try to get higher !

Marvellous. All great teams are built on solid foundations etc. Even the crowd were acknowledging our solid defenders; I swear they were calling us a bunch of bricks. The mighty hoof of Bath between the sticks too, right onto the laces of Pearo. Awesome.
I'm a bit worried about our skipper, boss. He was very quiet during the game. I'm thinking he's missing his post-match interviews with Nige. Any chance of relaxing your media ban?
There's no truth in any rumours floating about that I'm looking to move on in the transfer window. Those pictures of me with the Stafford Rangers Ladies' 3rd XI are genuine but they weren't trying to tap me up. Well, not in a transfer sense, anyway.

Following this national food day diet seems to have really helped my stats. I feel like a new man.
The septics seem to have one for every day of the year so I'll mainly be following the U.S. ones with the odd continental one thrown in for good measure (last Friday was German apples day).
Today was hot pastrami sandwich day. Not a big fan but it was very filling. Tomorrow is strawberry ice cream day. All welcome chez Quiet, Mrs Q has got 10 tubs of it in.

Have to say the strawberry ice cream sandwiches for dinner are a bit of a let down. Flavour is good but they've gone a bit soggy. Mrs Q made them at 6am this morning (thank you Mrs Q!) but didn't warn me what was in them so they've been on me desk at work all morning.
Looking forward to several bowls of it tonight. Nom nom nom.
Sounds very nice but a recipe for a heart attack.
Sorry Murph, I've just checked and there's no national gin day in the US. Phillistines. However, Saturday 8th June is World Gin Day. Far more encompassing. Thought I'd give you advance warning so you can stock up.
