I agree, shameful no youth on bench. Will be his undoing mark my word. It's not even that. Fair enough that Hughes doesn't put them on the bench. But they shouldn't be missing U23s football to watch the first team from the stands.

Another week with no football for Ngoy, Tymon and Edwards. Wank. Need loans on Jan 1st until Hughes leaves.

www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/josh-tymon-stoke-city-hull-837686“Reading were just a better team and I think they outclassed us everywhere on the field to be honest.” Stoke City: Gyollai, Banks, Tymon, Sorensen, Souttar, Butler, Verlinden, Shenton, Campbell, Jarvis (Ayoola 81), Ngoy. Unused: Allen, Pemberton, Hill, McJannet. Little bit concerning, yet again, that the U23s are so bad, even with our brighter prospects featuring.

When I watched them against Brighton we just couldn't keep the ball. We were pressed and then lumped it. That isn't going to get the best of Jarvis, Verlinden, Ngoy and Campbell. Sorensen bless him was way out of his depth in that game and every time anyone came near him he panicked and lost it. It was like watching the first team tbh. No composure what so ever. There's been some strange selection decisions too. Butler played against Brighton and was poor. Wara has been playing all season for the 23s but played for the 18s this weekend? Bursik was on the bench for the 18s? He was our best player against Brighton, the lad just needs to grow a foot (in height ) but he is only 17 so has time for that.

4-2 now against a pretty strong Liverpool side.
It does look like they've gone to a back a 4
And with Dunwoody back actually have a defensive midfielder which we didn't before with Shenton and Sorensen in there.
It's also just a way more balanced side with two full back in their correct roles.

Won 4-3.
Great result and sounds like Ngoy was really good and good to see Campbell getting more goals too.

The penalties looked very dodgy. That's still a great result against a Liverpool side which included Ings! I see Gyollai our keeper was taken off after being injured during the first penalty - anyone know how he is today?

Interesting. Trial with a view to a loan? That would be a great loan for him. Playing in a really good league in front of 30,000. Can't see him getting regular football at that level though?

Isn't it about time he did though, Grapey? It's German second tier and shouldn't he be aspiring to that level? Or would he be better off at League 1 over here?

It's about the level he should be pitched at I think. They're struggling a tad so an injection of pace and skill may help them and I do think he has the mentality to make it work.

How's he been looking for our U23s?
I expected him to be pushing more strongly, if he's the kind of elite talent who has genuine hopes of having a Prem future. Is he 100% fit and firing?
If he is that kind of talent - yeah, I'd agree. Bundesliga II is a good place for him to try and make a mark, but he doesn't seem to have pulled up any trees this year?

I thought on the few occasions that I’ve seen him that he looked a little off the pace however he didn’t play for a few months with that back injury. It would be interesting to see if this comes off.

St Pauli would be a great loan for Thibaud. If Ngoy, Edwards and Tymon are going to be used as sparingly in the second half of the season as the first, they need one too.

You'd also have to ask whether Shenton needed to move on...perhaps permanently?

You'd also have to ask whether Shenton needed to move on...perhaps permanently? I think he does. He seemed to have a decent spell at Wrexham last year. He should have a future in league football but he probably needs to move he seems to be regressing here.
