Some band playing on the small stage in 94. I wonder what happened to them? Simply immense. Love the bit at end of Supersonic with zoomed in camera on Liam's sunglasses with the crowd reflecting back.

So looking forward to Bowie slot 👌 My one and only Glastonbury attendance was this year. I watched Bowie for about an hour and then fucked off to watch The Pet Shop Boys on another stage (and probably also to fetch more recreationals - look, I was 18 at the time OK?). I'm watching this now as, much like the FA Cup final 2011, I've never seen it since other than in realtime when I was actually there.

Somthing about Glastonbury when you go that never leaves you. Makes you miss it more in my opinion.

My overriding memory of this Glasto was me and the 8 other lads and lasses I went there with insisting on talking only in a 'Stella Street'-style Bowie accent for every single interaction throughout the entire journey back to Manchester (that seemingly took 4 days). I could never go again though, not unless I was put up in a hotel each evening/helicoptered back to Stoke to sleep in my own bed. Age catches up on you but I've still not got the restraint to not be a wrong 'un for the duration.

It's the small things like the bit that made me fall in love. Sitting in a Mallets Cider tent on Wed afternoon. Drinking lots and lots talking 70s Rock bands with the group whilst listening to a country folk band play on stage. I thought I fuckin love this place. That was only one the Wednesday and it just got better.

Watched some YouTube clips of it last night. Used to have every episode on DVD but they’ve gone missing🤷🏻♂️

Left Basement Jaxx early to go and watch Bowie just before he came on stage. Somehow squeezed in right to the front. Cracking weekend all round. Leftfield, BRA, Roni Size and The Chemicals were awesome...fatboy slim was gash though. Bowie was the perfect ending. P.S. i'm sure the Pet shop boys were on the Pyramid stage before Bowie weren't they? (My memory is drug ruined also, i was convinced it was Leftfield we'd left early for Bowie for about 15 years, until my mate told me we saw all of Leftfield and it was Basement Jaxx we bailed on )

You mean I've been harbouring false memories for the past 20 years? To be quite honest with you, I could barely remember my own fucking name after that weekend so who knows what happened

Only just caught up with Bowie 2000
Very emotional What a back catalogue. And still churning out cracking tunes 30 years after he first hit the chart , Hello Spaceboy etc
Second best ive seen from the BBC archive is Amy Winehouse 2007, at her peak, another great set where everything came together.

The line up looks pretty good to me but I'd only want to watch Kendrick out of the headliners, not arsed about Billie and Paul.

… looks pretty Aussie centric to me. Do not miss Confidence Man. I would see - Foals, Fontaines DC (was going to see them in Brisvegas, but COVID cancelled), Kendrick, Lianne la Havas (voice of a goddess), Primal Scream, Sleaford Mods (last band I saw live in Brisbane before COVID), Supergrass, TLC

Im so glad I went many times many years ago. The festival is a shadow of its former self. But to be fair it was never about the headliners, ever.

Over the years, some of the headliners have been "last chance to see" kind of acts which is fair enough, but you're right in that away from the main stage much better experiences are to be had.

Diana Ross is doing the Sunday afternoon "Legends" slot! Aged 77.

What time are Jive Bunny on? You do know that there are 31 different Stages and Performance areas on the festival site! Even if someone, (even Jive Bunny) were appearing it would be very difficult to keep tabs on what is going on and where.

I appreciate that but I need to know if they'll clash with The Pigeon Detectives
