2 points regarding Jon Walters. Firstly it amazes me that a player who cost us so little, who epitomised us as a team of grafters and who gave an awful lot in a Stoke shirt is getting any criticism at all. He's gone, so why are people still obsessed with having a snide pop at him? Secondly I wonder how many brave people on here would tell him to his face that he is greedy, less than average blah, blah, blah. If they were brave enough, how many seconds would it be before they hit the floor! Is this Jon Walters or Joey Barton we're talking about?

"Digs at former team mates". Can you quote them verbatim, or are you simply being mischevious? Mentioning how Bera did too me wasn't needed and is a sly dig imo. Its a fair interview and to be fair if you were sat on our bench last season and could not get into the team watching how Saido was playing should piss you off , hopefully now he looks fitter he will earn his place but he didnt last season

If we manage to replace Walters with someone with a heart as big as his and add a little better technical ability we'll have a super hero of a player

Jon Walters says he knew his days at Stoke were numbered when the club signed Saido Berahino in January. Walters joined Burnley in a £3m deal last Friday, with the 33-year-old signing a two-year deal at Turf Moor. The Liverpool-born striker made just 13 Premier League starts for Stoke last season, scoring four goals, and says he left the Bet 365 Stadium in the search for more regular first-team football ahead of the 2018 World Cup. Walters felt he would play no more than a bit-part role at Stoke after manager Mark Hughes signed £12m striker Berahino from West Brom on a five-and-a-half-year deal in January. "It got to the point by November that I'd played more games for Ireland than for Stoke," Walters said ahead of Friday's friendly against Shamrock Rovers at the Tallaght Stadium. "Circumstances change and things happen, whether your face just fits at the club or not, but the move was on once the manager brought in another striker, Saido Berahino, in January. "He didn"t do particularly well between January and the end of the year but look, he was always going to start the season. "So with Bojan [Krkic] coming back, Pete [Crouch] there, Mame [Biram Diouf] there and the lads on the wings, it was probably going to be a similar scenario where I wouldn't have started the season. "Hopefully, I get to start a lot more games at Burnley, maybe even over 30. "There have been no assurances given about a spot in the team, that's up to me to earn."

You wasted your time, I read it thanks No problems. I was right then to think you were simply being "mischievous". You understand, trying to cast a shadow where there wasn't one. No doubt you'll have your reasons, albeit unjustified
