Its bizarre that you cant see the massive difference in this new movement taking place, one that has the working people and those let down in recent years truly at the forefront of it all. its as if you are truly more at home with the nastiness that the tories are putting out there than the hope that Corbyn's Labour are bringing to the public servants, low paid and the unfortunately disabled ordinary folks in society. What the fuck is wrong with you? is it some hope that the cuts will never affect you and that some day you will be rich and on the winning side? its very strange to say the least.

4 Tree hugger and I hate tree huggers. 65 million people on a bus eating salad. We give pensioners a bus pass when they can't bloody walk to the bus stop and would probably die of old age waiting for one to turn up. What about giving them free taxis instead that might actually help them.

You probably need to attach less weight to your own incredulity, and consider the possibility that your vision of him offering nothing but hope and compassion might be somewhat idealistic. I was a lifelong Labour voter until 2017, as were my whole family, but we couldn't bring ourselves to vote for this divisive, egotistical, incompetent clown, and we're far from alone.

Anyone who wants a fairer society is a mindless bastard traitorous fucking bastard cunt. Britain was built on injustice. It has to be this way. The only reason the dark ages were dark is because there wasn't electricity. Now we've got some let's give it a try.

" For the many not the few " Resonated with the young, it also resonated with me and I'm not so young. I agree with Corbyn and those on the left who believe that wealth and pay differentials between those at the top and those at the bottom are now obscene. I disagree with him on just about everything else.

The only reason the dark ages were dark is because there wasn't electricity. Now we've got some let's give it a try. If Corbyn gets in he might implement price caps on electricity, which will lead to shortages, so maybe he's the one who would take us back to the dark ages ? it would be easy if all our problems could be solved by the state simply putting taxes up and spending more, but the end game of that is a nation dependent on the state, putting taxes up on businesses, corporations, wealthy people doesn't even work to bring in more tax revenue, this is why state socialism always fails, the higher the taxes the less tax revenue collected because it destroys jobs, you can't tax a job/business corporation that doesn't exist, so this would be counterproductive even if your aim is to help the poor by taxing wealthier people more, if you attack the rich they simply change behaviour, they stop investing, they lay workers off, they leave the country, would Corbyn put taxes up so high that the Laffer curve comes in to play ? if so that means tax revenue would actually decline, meaning less money for services like the NHS, then what would he do ? double down and tax more ? print more money off ? Sure, a government who comes in and hikes taxes across the board will cause short term improvement in services etc but it's like going out for a piss up, sure it's great for 3-4 hours chugging ale non stop, but then next day the hangover hits and you feel like shit. the tories are bad enough, any government that doubles the national debt in 7 years can not seriously be described as conservative, but corbyn would cause this country to hollow out and collapse, full dose state socialism would be a disaster right now.

Corbyn's election campaign was a relative success, you cant deny that and it looks likely he/they will at least cause the Tories to row back on austerity somewhat. All the other things you mention are Socialist pipedreams.

All the other things you mention are Socialist pipedreams. If old labour got into power they wouldn't force austerity on us, but reality would. I'm not a tory, but State socialism of the type corbyn professes is, in the long run, totally counterproductive if you want to raise tax revenues, so it's a self detonating theory. The same people pushing a sugar tax to reduce sugar consumption want to put higher taxes on job creators, so they accept that the way to reduce something is to put higher taxes on it, so you can only come to the conclusion they want to destroy jobs to cause more state dependency, more state dependency requires higher taxes, so corbyn would come in, jack up taxes, it wouldn't work, so he'd then do the only thing he knows, which is to put taxes up even higher, then you're on the other side of the 'Laffer curve'.

Labour leaders have had to resign in the past despite doing better in term of % of votes than Corbyn did in this election, so when put into context this only seems like a victory because expectations were lower than snakes belly, they were so low many people thought this election might spell end the of labour as a party, so when corbyn proved that labour at least still has a slight pulse it seemed a bigger deal than perhaps it was, we'll see i suppose.

In reply to the original post, how on earth this man has become the leader of one of the two main political parties on Britain defies belief.
A man who given countless opportunities has failed to condemn the actions of a terrorist organisation that murdered into thousands of innocent British people. And paid tribute to the death of one of their generals (hiding behind a political body) only this year describing him as a great family man and was thinking of his relatives that day. A man who if he had his wish would abolish the monarchy A man who has refused to sing the national anthem of Great Britain at rememberance ceremonies A man who supports open borders welcoming more of our enemies A man who has spoke in support of Assad
His policies are the same old shit as any leader of the party not in power. Find fault with policies of the party in power that the public will back and run with them but have no real idea of how to implement or where the funding for them in cutbacks elsewhere will come from.

Do you know how many men the Chinese sent over the border in the Korean War? 1 million is the answer to prop up the North Korean regime.
We have never made peace with North Korea it is only a cease fire.
What do you think we would use to stop them if they develop the nuclear weapon that they are working on right now. Oh did you think that just the Americans were in the Korean War? Too much Hollywood, we were there too. The two new carriers that have no planes and which we can only afford to deploy one of. Or the 144,000 total man power of the combined services (approx.)
No like it or not our nuclear deterrent is a necessary evil and it is nuclear weapons that have reduced the world powers to skirmishes in other countries and so far prevented WWlll. In my opinion as a knuckle dragger that is.
Learn to debate rather than insult, then people might listen to what you say.

Increasing margins are for Slavers not Captains of Industry who must realise that shop floor unrest will eventually back fire.
When people have nothing to lose then they also have nothing to fear. " Knuckle dragger" chapter one verse 5.
