I seem to remember that we give £47m ( could be wrong, haven't checked) to China in foreign aid, yet they've just sent a missile to the dark side of the moon. Whatever the advantages of this aid I'm sure that those making the decisions would not do so if their children were struggling on the minimum wage. Wouldn't it be more sensible to spend the money on tackling the increasing problem before our eyes....those sleeping rough in our cities in the freezing conditions of January and February? Where the aid goes: fullfact.org/economy/uk-spending-foreign-aidAnd this money could also go to the homeless. We are in an age of perverse values in the UK. Fancy basic rate tax payers paying so much to protect people who hate every one of us who enjoys the freedom of the " western" way of life.... seriously they would probably kill us if they could. The politicians don't represent the common sensical views of the electorate, in my opinion.

We have a people living on the street and some have fought for our country yet we look after anti British scroungers off our state because its all PC and lets not be seeing as racist or non welcoming. Well i would give them bugger all and the option of pay your way or go.

Haven't fully read it but it seems aloteof money targeted at Refugees when we have a general homelessness problem.....in addition to the other issue the link brings up.. a few people will make a lot of money out of this. .............. The British government is awarding contracts worth a total of 4 billion pounds to house asylum seekers, the sources said, but last year's collapse of Carillion has dampened appetite for riskier projects. uk.mobile.reuters.com/article/amp/idUKKCN1P216Z?__twitter_impression=true

Homelessness could have been eradicated forever with the funds allocated for HS2.

Homelessness could have been eradicated forever with the funds allocated for HS2. High speed railways, right? Aren't they supposed to compete with air travels?

I’m just so saddened by this and also seething with anger too. How on earth have we got to this point where terrorism is rewarded?

I’ve got some sympathy for Bob Curry, given the circumstances Bob should definitely be living in the tax funded accommodation instead of the terrorist. The article says that Bob is registered disabled, I’d have liked a bit more information on that, does his disability prevent him from working? Why is the terrorist living in free accommodation? Is there anything preventing him from working?

Private schools in this country, y'know the ones where rich people send their kids for the best education get charity tax status.... which means that they are subsidised by poor people who can't afford to send their kids to anything but the local comprehensive. Welcome to Britain

It's a misnomer anyway... it's not a high speed rail line at all. It was sold as a high speed line.... really it's about increasing capacity. The whole thing was an utter fuck up from start to finish. They fudged the budget and Mark Thurston (Chief Executive of HS2 Ltd) has anally grin fucked this country so hard, we'll never shit right again. Cheers Mark

Surely there’s some role that be can found for him somewhere though. He shouldn’t be living at the taxpayers expense.

Welcome to Britain Yes I know that Metal, totally wrong Reprehensible. Disgusting. Still, not likely to change while the Tories are in power, let's be honest... and UKIP wouldn't change it either. Perhaps they're worried about him rocking up and shooting people? It'd be an interesting job interview, that's for sure. Surely there’s some role that be can found for him somewhere though. He shouldn’t be living at the taxpayers expense. Perhaps he can be a firearms consultant for the military? Put him in a big room and have him shooting new guns at shit? Maybe that's a bad idea actually.
