Please don't tell me zero out of 3 I'm pretty sure the lad to the right of Crooksy is Martin Brown, his dad was Doug Brown, the gentleman who started Lads and Dads.

Very good player, was the side his Dad managed and he played in that beat us in the Ladsandads Area Cup Final 3-2 at Trubshaw Cross, only game we lost all season. Used to get lots of Boothen Stand Tickets off Dougie when we were st the Vic, lovely bloke, my Dad helped him start Ladsandads.

Blimey, he was in the same year as my missus at Sandon High, which would have made him only 59/60.
Big mates with Garth Crooks as I remember, having come through their apprenticeship together when we still producing home grown talent
Time dulls the memory because I can't remember if he ever made a first team appearance.. maybe he came on as a sub?
Again maybe someone else knows better but my missus seemed to think he went to Australia for a while?
Very sad, no age at all. RIP

Worked at the same place as Mick for 10 years. Rest in peace old friend, you should never have been on that factory.

RIP he did go to australia to play but was homesick and came back . had a long spell with foley fc alongside bill bentley.mick was a very tough and fair defender and a very genuine bloke .
