I watched a replay of Thursday evenings question time and was pleasantly surprised about how modern thinking the two Muslim panellists and the young Muslim audience member at the end of the show were. I don't come into contact with any Muslims and my view of them are that they are very insular with a hatred of the West and everything it stands for but after watching QT I was feeling more positive about the future if forward thinking Muslims like those get their voices heard. QT was a bit of a surprise really; mainly due to the whole panel at one point or another saying that the Muslim community has to do more...and agreeing that that doesn't equal "all Muslims are evil". The only concern I have is the lady in the head scarf just stating "that leaflet is not authorized" or however she put it - and that was it, she also denied the use of Saudi preachers which were accepted by the panel.

Cheetham Hill is anecdotally referred to as 'Counterfeit Street'.
"It is indicative of the entrenched criminal culture of the area that the trade in counterfeit goods has continued despite regular enforcement action and high-volume seizures."
Sounds a lovely place to bring up your kids in, plenty of cheap designer sports goods on offer.
If you're right matey then Cheetham Hill must have gone downhill since I spent a couple of months there some 30 odd years ago. Like most places most of the people will be decent and law abiding. I'm doing the Potters Arf in two weeks time and there'll be a great reception along the route but none better than in Bentilee. The sames goes for the Chester Half last weekend when running through the "estate".
I think if Prestwich is happy to take his kiddie there then perhaps you should take what he's saying at face value.

I take peoples message board persona with a pinch of salt, but if he truly is in life like he is on here I'd rather bring my kids up in Cheetham Hill than surrounded by crapslinger clones that I do know.....

This sum nation of Cheetham Hill are not my words, a little research will give you all the facts about this place, not one man's but many it is not a safe or harmonious place as Prestwich makes out.

One thing I am 100% certain of there will be more chance of a terrorist been located in that area than the area I currently reside in, enjoy your multicultural utopia it sounds as if it suits you, meanwhile I will enjoy living in my not so multicultural utopia until I decide where I will spend the rest of my days, I can guarantee you it will not be in Greater Manchester.

Jealous of your made up careers and your imaginary Maserati sat in your garage? Ha ha ha ha. Any chance I could stay in your imaginary villa in Capri as well? I am perfectly happy with my lot glad you accept that, you carry on living with bitterness, anger and bigotry oozing out of every pore.....

The preferred word that describes it in one respect these days is "multicultural" It's a popular place with smackheads and therefore bottom of the food chain drug dealers. You'll also find street prostitutes looking for a quick bit of business in order to buy their next bag of smack. Most people just pass through it on the main road, to and from Manchester

MI5 is to hold an inquiry into the way it dealt with warnings from the public that the Manchester suicide bomber, Salman Abedi, was a potential threat. The security service, which was alerted to Abedi's extremist views three times prior to last Monday's attack, will examine how it dealt with the warnings. link

I would not disclose my place of residence to anyone who thinks Cheetham Hill is a safe place to visit, as for WASP'S they originate from the good old USA similar to the KKK, you are miles off, now Bee's is another thing plenty around the Manchester area at the moment I am told, Bee's and terrorist murderers think I will stay in my not so multicultural utopia, if you are content raising your offspring in such an area then good luck

I went to see KISS Sunday at the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham. Naturally, there were spec ops everywhere, properly kitted out as well. Plus getting into the gig was a nightmare as everyone was thoroughly scanned, however, it's better than the alternative.
There were a few nervy moments for the crowd. KISS love to do their pyrotechnics and there were flashes and bangs going off and every time, the crowd seemed to just go quiet for a second then come back. Still didn't ruin a cracking gig though.

I agree with this. Also know as cardboard city from all the packaging that the fake clothes come in thrown about, the spotters on street corners with the walkie talkies looking out for trading standards, the shops selling fake good hidden behind mirrors in newsagents, what a lovely area it is
